I would back England to get 10 wickets tommorow - the only reason the batting looks so easy is the really poor bowling - the ball will misbehave if its in the right place

also how come astle aint bowling ?

guess its still his injury ?

i say we give flemming a bowl :)
Richardson before Fleming. Astle could be given a shot, although I'm not sure if it's the kind of "attack" (if you can call it that) we should be going after. Pity we don't have a McMillan or someone similar who has a knack for breaking partnerships.

Well from watching Tuffey i cant see him being that effective on flat pitches, i can see why he might be succesful in NZ though
to be fair on him, he did do a pretty good job in india.

Like anzac said, he's just not fit. He passed the same fitness test Bond passed, and do you see Bond anywhere? That was obviously a very weak fitness test.

Yeah but we had some effective bowlers i.e Jones and his reverse swing.
and as some of us have said - this NZL attack isn't full strength or fit...........

Flem may very well be between a rock & a hard place..........team selections for both batting & bowling based primarily upon who is fit enough to take the field, with players from both carrying injury & struggling for form.........

as I see it he can't rely upon any element of the team to 'save' the match let alone try to win it.............so rather than accelerate the game he needs to slow it down, but the bowlers can't even find enough consistency to do that...........

If Vettori goes off and Papps is also off... who comes on to field, out of curiosity? McMillan's also a no-go... Mills is already on for Papps... Sinclair around?

No i didn't miss the first innings but the pitch isnt a first day one anymore...and Papps and Vettori are carrying injuries.

Mind you they wont take the wickets if they keep dropping catches

Not as simple as that, we fielded like tossers on the first day, and Papps and to a lesser extent Fleming were lucky. And on this pitch wickets could fall tomorrow.

Looking at his stats, he's far from impressive, even at domestic level... he only took 7 wickets from 8 matches this season. May as well have another 80mph seamer! :p

Sounds as if Flintoff got away with an LBW. Is it me or has Bucknor gone a bit senile over the past year? Used to be a pretty much flawless umpire.

EDIT: Flintoff off out, ****.
