Not Terrible
Yeah, agreed.

Although in saying that, I hope Sky invite commentators from WI and India this summer. Otherwise we're a bit hypocritical.
Definitely. I like hearing commentators who know something about the bloody players.

Mark Nicholas really is saved by his accent. No matter what regurgitated cliche he warbles out, it sounds intelligent and measured thanks to his voice. You take that out of the equation and he's almost as useless as Healy.

hayden is a selfish fool, katich would never have made it, he had to wait for the ball to go past vettori, then would have been run out by about 3 metres at the strikers end, haydos should suck it up
It was Hayden's call:-O

Katich had to wait for nothing, It was Hayden's call he was running to the danger end, you go on your partners call, and in front of the wicket it is the strikers call

Uppercut yourself, please.
Good argument8-)

What do you mean 'i'm better than that'? When it is as clear cut out as that all you want to do is shout as loud as you can, why would Ryder be thinking "Hey, he's edged it, i've caught it and he's clearly out...but i'll throw down the stumps instead of appealing". Talk about the perfect way to make the umpire think it isn't out.
Not being a smart arse which your post implyed that tone.

And yeah, straight away I started cheering. There were clearly two noises, and it clearly deflected, the only things it could have hit were bat, glove and pad. I thought it was pretty obvious in real time on the TV. Koertzen has got a few wrong in this test already.
So which Test are you umpiring in next?

Regardless of me sounding like a smartarse or not, it isn't Ryder's fault Koertzen is incompetent is it?

I bloody well should be a test umpire, i'd be a far sight better than that clown Koertzen.

Agreed - Katich was totally at fault and it was a schoolboy error

That's bull****. Katich HAD to see if the ball was going to go past the bowler, otherwise Hayden was completely sawing him off, and once he had rightly seen if the ball would pass the bowler or not, there was no run there.

Not to mention the fact Hayden called "wait" then tore off down the wicket without bothering to look up to see what was going on.

It was Hayden's schoolboy error, and he rightly sacrificed himself.
