Five bowlers used in the first eleven overs. Powerplay 2 not taken straightaway, this could be dangerous later on if wickets are still in hand. Australia really in command here.

EDIT: Six bowlers used in the first twelve! Collingwood on.

No-one in their right mind, with Australia going on at better than a run a ball and with just 220-odd the target, is going to say 'more of the same, lads'.

Prediction - Tuesday to be the last time we ever see 'super subs' in the current guise in an international between England and Australia. It's a badly thought-out concept (you would expect that from Angus Fraser, of course) and only offers further advantage to the side already in the box seat having won the toss.

I never said Vaughan should have contemplated NOT taking the Powerplay!!

I only meant that Australia's strong start has meant that because of the Powerplay rules, England could be in even more danger later on. England have suffered because of their own bad bowling, and the new rules have only exacerbated things.
