Meh, Bangladesh had Australia in a spot of bother til this bout of contagious seppuku.
All too predictable though. You could tell from the moment Hogg came on and started turning them a mile that Bangladesh were going to struggle. They've got a fair few talented players, but they tend to panic a bit when things get tough for them, and Hogg and Symonds bowled well enough to let them commit suicide.

Well they beat Australia the other day chasing 253 or whatever. That collapse was so pathetic tho, absolute waste - they could have really put Australia through it again.

Bashar is breaking all the theories of probability. He lost all the 7 toss he played at England. What is the world record for consequitive toss loss? And who has the worst rate for losing toss among current captains?

Well done to Symonds, the person who most benefited from the collapse, a five-for for him. Puts the whole drinking till 4.30 am on game day behind him :D

Vaughan kept losing tosses when he toured Asia, can't remember exactly how many he lost though...

Yeah, like I said, they have real talent, but go to pieces on occasion. They looked good once the pitch calmed down a bit and Ashraful got on top of the seamers, but once Hogg and Symonds came on and the pitch was turning, it was only a matter of time.

Hayden's looked really comfortable. The bowling hasn't been great, but it's really not an easy wicket to bat on at all, which has shown in Gilchrist's shaky play I think. They've both come through it all right, and Australia should win by 10 now. Sets things up nicely for the next two games against England, with both sides in decent form, excluding Gillespie.

FINALLY TEC .....acknowledgement of Lee's bowling. Told you he was more dangerous than previous years
i've never actually claimed that hes a poor bowler in ODIs. he's just always been a bit wayward. we'll see how he goes for the rest of the series.

Today didn't flatter him - a couple of top-edged sixes by Ashraful could easily have been a wicket, but he was a shadow of the player he looked against England. Possibly a reaction to the shoulder injury?

To be fair, Symonds isn't really that bad on turners, just like his medium pacers aren't that bad on slow wickets. It's just that he has no tricks when the pitch isn't helping him. He bowled pretty well on turning pitches in Sri Lanka last year, for example, which along with the fact that he was batting well is why he got called up to the test squad, however dumb that call-up may have been.

- Having a wonderful side on view of Lee charging in at the Hapless Bangladeshis

- Destructive batting by Gilchrist & Hayden

- Getting all the aussie players autographs except Kasper, Clarke & Haddin, but they will be back to i'll get the rest in August.
