Giles takes Ponting at 3rd man, come on!! Ponting fails to make England pay, a great catch by all accounts and KP will be the world's most relieved man.

Another daft shot from Ponting; would've thought he would exercise some caution after nearly getting out a few balls before.

Match interestingly poised now. Australia won't want the run rate to fall much below where it is now, they'll want 275+ at least on this wicket.

Giles will be significant I think. Australia will be looking to score off him.

Very handy. Apart from how it affects today's outcome, it keeps Ponting's iffy run going, which can only be good news..

what do you guys think about tremlett getting a run in the ashes? possible or not?
If Jones isn't fit, he may well get a run. If he is, the bowlers will most likely stay the same throughout, notwithstanding horrible losses of form.

Very true - Symonds may well look to exploit him when he gets in, Giles will do well to keep the scoring rate down when he comes on.

Hopefully they won't treat him in the same manner as they have other left-arm spinners - Vettori and Rafique - and allow him to get through 10 overs with 0/35 or something.

Another wicket, poor shot, almost messed-up by Jones again, still takes it though. Australia might struggle with no Clarke today.
