Fellow Indian supporters, I think we survived. We made it. Congratulations.

I wanted to see Raina and Dhoni play against the Aussies, but I guess we need those two points. Bad night (going to bed at 7 am .. damn).

I meant he will get 50 before he retires.
That's quite a call to be honest.

At his current rate that's another 90 or so ODIs - does he have 4 or so years left in him?

India have won half a game !!

Thats the first half a game in 8 matches

Maybe the luck will turn and we will win another half in the next one to say we have at last won an ODI

Seriously, if the situation weren't so bad I'd have laughed a lot at that.

Aside from being MOTS in 2003 when India toured Aust. and from that daggone partnership with Laxman he hasn't done much really hey 8-)
Look at his overall average and then compare it against OZ - it's decidedly worse. I just dont think he's as comfortable against the tall Australian bowlers as against other countries.

Second that. I feel bad for the team when they get to practice tomorrow in front of Greg.

Nah but I'm accusing you of being a **** head.
To be fair to SP, I actually think that that was a tounge in cheek comment about the comments found on that site.

his record against Aus isn't that bad..... its really bad when Mcgrath and Warne play together in a match.
He did have a disasterous tour down under in 99.

India have survived!!! i can't believe that im saying this, but thank god for the rain!!!

India have some work to do...but i don't get it...they were gd with that bat in the 1st match but struggling with the ball. Its all reversed. Looking at the tables...we should hope dat Aussies beat WI so that india can take 2nd spot if they beat the WI on wednesday!

India lost fairly under the rules set and agreed upon. I'm not saying anything about that. But had the game gone on, neither result was a certainty and with so many overs left, in any circumstances the team which loses under D/L can be justified in feeling slightly unlucky whether it be India or South Africa or whoever.
All well and good, but under D/L it wasn't even that close - WI were well ahead.

Now had it been 1 or 2 runs in it, then that is unlucky.

To be fair you can't really tell whether SP is being cheeky or just his usual self.

@ Nishant, wont help much if WI go on to beat India again, as they are getting so good at it.

Aren't you all totally missing my point?

To be denied a fair opportunity to complete the game is what's unlucky. Like, three overs could totally flip a game upside down.

If a collapse like what just happened occured in WI India if it did not rain...whats to say West Indies would've won...I'm not saying that its not possible for WI to go on and win that game...but D/L seriously seems really stupid to me

Yeah, but I doubt if we have anything better than that, apart from resuming the match from that point the next day at the same point of time and hoping that the pitch would be in much the same state.

Something like democracy, you know. Sucks, but nothing better.
