Pak gonna win this Comfortably
hey dont take this off from indians so early... Look on Indians may spring a surprise... Pakistan players must have been tired due to heat....

281/8 is reasonable, but pretty poor given that they were 241/3 in the 40th over. I don't think it will be enough to prevent Pakistan winning, though it is still a lot of runs to get.

pakistan should be able to chase this down comfortably, but stranger things have happened. It will be interesting to see who the openers will be. My bets on hafeez with salman butt, with malik at 3

Butt
Hafeez
Malik
Inzi
Youhana
Akmal
Razzaq
Afridi

and of course afridi might come ahead of akmal if the situation demands it. I can't see pakistan losing with that line up.

2 points...firstly hafeez missed 4 clear chances he is a shocking choice, i usualy dont like critising players but in this case this is utterly unbelieveable just POOR!!!!...get nazir in!
sami should have bowled last over, or rana (but he got injured) i just dont understand hafeez' selection ok...so maybe its coz of his batting? of which he averages 17...in ODIs and b4 any1 says he has 42 average in tests...its against bangladesh when they had a VERY poor side...im really annoyed at his selection he didnt even perform in the warm up match...and i dont care if he has a gr8 innings with the bat he doesnt deserve his place...and i feel sorry for sami the most unlucky bowler in the world! he did bowl well maybe 2 or 3 bad deliveries

Yes, I am serious. Tired legs like Dravid wouldn't be able to put much effort into their running, and Dravid is hardly known for whacking the ball out of the ground, is he? So having him on the ground would actually be more detremental to India at THAT stage. (Can you picture him hitting the shots Harbajan hit in the last over?)

Seriously though, It is a very good effort from Sehwag and Dravid, seeing they were facing not one, but two adverseries both at the same time. As usual they garbled the script in the last ten overs (really missing a lower-middle order hitter) and only some sloppy cricket from Pakistan allowed them to score 280 at the end.

dravid has been known to turn it on at times... his 50 off 24 deliveries was brilliant and had some very good powerful shots

I hope Kamran Akmal makes some runs, so they can't drop him for the next game. By that I mean that I hope Younis Khan returns, but NOT as 'keeper.

They wont, surely. Akmal has been waaaay too good in tests.

Whatever it takes!!!
I don't think it will be all that easy for Pakistan. On paper, they should win this with 4 or 5 wickets in hand and with 2 or 3 overs to spare, but the heat and the humidity factors may just change the script. Also, the ball seemed to stop on the batters during the last 10 overs when the Pak spinners bowled intelligently. I expect Sachin and Sehwag to do a similar job atleast for a few important overs. Sachin bowling leg breaks from around the wicket to the Pak right handers could keep them down. But a LOT depends on how the seamers go for India. My gut feeling is that it will go down to the wire and India MAY just sneak through with a win here.

That shouldn't necessarily have any bearing on the ODI selection. Akmal hasn't been in good form with the bat in ODI's recently, apart from one innings, but I hope he keeps his place simply because I can't bear the thought of Younis Khan 'keeping again.

Yeah but surly they have to find a spot for Danish and Younis somewhere, there too good of players to leave out. Khan bowled ok today but i still think that Danish is a better bowler. Younis well maybe Butt or Hafeez, let Malik open and he can come in at 3.

Well i don't think Hafeez should be in the side over Nazir or Younis but until Malik starts bowling again they need him as a 6th bowler.

yea thats the way i saw it, but i was looking at the performances recently and nazir has been outstnading in domestic ciruit...possibly by far the best bowler not in the squad...the batting already was deep without hafeez maybe nazir as a specialist bowler would have been a better choice?
