He's more effecient at number seven. In the VB Series, he batted at seven and performed consistent 30-40 odd. Woolmer has realised that Afridi is wasted in the opener position. He is not too consistent as an opener and that the fielding restrictions mean you don't really need a slogger as an opener.

As for afridi, he hits it high (mostly outta the ground) , so field in our out doenn't matter. Better to use him late stages if the top order does OK/bad!

Vert smart indeed from Woolmer, 50% of his salary must be just for this move

that shud b the team i think arshad may get the nod ahead of the last choices simply because he has played ODIs successfully before other then him id give the nod to kaneria i think 2 spinners r a must...then 3 seamers the batting is strong esp after butts and malik performance they shud most definately plat and that performance from malik is why i wanted him in the tests as a specialist bat, and i will always stick by that statement i knw asim did very well, i feel malik would have done better...sorry if any1 feels annoyed at that

HAFEEZ SHOULD NOT GET THE NOD AHEAD OF SHAHID NAZIR!
nazir took 52 wickets at 12.7 average in the first class trophy
and then took 11 wicket at 11 average in the one day trophy he deserves his chance
