***Official*** India in Pakistan

Bedi said that the wkt will be lifeless, but Inzi in his latest statement has said that wkt has fair amount of grass and would help the pacers!!!

If Pak bats first then Irfan Pathan might play havoc with the ball.

Instead of that link, had you just posted ur picture then it would have been much better and clearler.
I'd tend to disagree that it would be much clearler. Just read your own post and you'll see what he's talking about. That said, Jono's post was just a tad bit uncalled for.

Everyone is entitiled to his opinion, but one should just talk about cricket and refrain from getting personal. If someone can't get this then he must be nuts

Can I ask you something then? Why do you (and a few others on this board, but I assume you don't speak for them unless they're all your alter ego) take so many pot-shots at the Pakistan team, and Pakistanis in general? Its not funny, and all you're doing is insulting people for no reason other than the fact that they are Pakistani.

Fines

Why is it that always Pak/Indian players are fined???????

Inzi / Dravid both fined for slow over rate

Ponting had a very slow over rate against Sri Lanka, but there was no sign of him being fined, this adds extra pressure on the sub continent palyers, who in the first place dont get payed enough

And also, Symonds ' You f***in b*****d' cleary swore at a Sri Lankan player, but has never been discussed or talked about

BARNES OUT
Australia did get fined.

Ricky Ponting was also understandably cheery, and not just because he captured a brilliant one-handed leaping catch to remove Russel Arnold for 76. "We were made to look silly in Adelaide but since then our cricket has been unbelievably good," he said. "The individual efforts -Andrew Symonds in Sydney and Adam and Simon tonight - were very special and to come from 1-0 down and play our best cricket was very satisfying." The only thing discolouring the victory was a fine by Jeff Crowe, the ICC match referee, for finishing the first innings two overs behind schedule.

Did i ever said that Asif isn't good??? But for ur kind info Asif is only allowed to bowl just 10 overs in OD match!!!! Just 10 out of 50!!

Sami is a proven failure, and has a TERRIBLE RECORD against India, there is a reason as to why he was dropped from the 16 man squad, so your cliam that his inclusion will do Pak a good is illfound!!. As for Rana naveed wanting to find form, i would say everyone would want to find form, their intentions are not in question, but their capabilities are certainly in question.

History means nothing in the context of an ODI game, Inzy believed in history and look what happened at Pindi. So saying that Sami has (keyword is "has") a terrible record doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a cake walk for us and Sami's speed might just be the difference maker to allow Asif and Razzaq to be accurate enough. Sami might just use this as a second chance to prove his worth. Although i hope that doesn't happen and we romp home 3-1, lets see how it goes.

Well Afridi is not playing!!
Inzi is going to strike form soon, but since Younis is being send down to bat at number six slot, where he's practically useless, chances of Younis doing much damage remains slim.

All in all India looks to be in a very good situation:)
Looks can be deceptive, as I said in my previous post underestimate your opponent at your own peril and Pakistan even without Afridi, Akhtar and Gul is a dangerous team. All they need is one good spell, I would refrain from making the comment that India is in a very good situation till the game has been won. We were in very good position an year ago leading 2-0 and what happened in the 4 games after that is very well known.

Thank you silentstriker, precisely my point. Hey even Heath Streak has been better than the vaunted Ajit Agarkar. Sign me up for the Ajit Agarkar Loathing Society (AALS) :p

By the way, if Pathan gets another wicket in the first over, I'm jumping out my (ground floor) window.
