The crowd was very optimistic, cheering the team when they reached the 50 and cheering when they took the lights. They are the most optimistic fans any where in the world. Passionate supporters who appreciate cricket from oponents as well.
It's good to see that sort of attitude still exists.

What's the point of playing Bangladesh?  India get their asses kicked by Australia and then almost have a similar result against SA and now they are all macho against Bangladesh.
they were given test status prematurely, but since that happened anyway, what is the point of not playing them? ....and would you be happier, more satisfied if they are not "macho" against bangladesh? btw, a struggling india lost to a much superior australian side, and won against an understrength s.a side albeit in a laboured manner....what is so devastating about that? both series played true to quality and current form, that's all....

Mashrafe is being rested for Chittagong...he's been overworked this test and we all hope he doesn't get injured again. Need him good for Zimbabwe. Rajin Saleh's dropped from Chittagong as well apparently.

Bashar has come on my hate list after this test for sure.

He says he wasn't being irresponsible with his hook shots!!! Unbelievable, nice to see the captain leading by example!

Which planet do you live on and which game do you watch ? Have a sense of proportion even if you must display your obvious bias.

This is just the kind of post we need to avoid here so as to stop getting into these 'wars of attrition' that keep breaking out and which seem to have nothing to do with cricket talk !

The saddest thing is that Bangladesh is already accepting the whitewash. Resting Mashrafe Mortaza to keep him fit for their more important date with Zimbabwe. Truly sad. He is a good bowler, who I think has it in him to become the first great cricketer from Bangladesh...and they refuse to use him against the best.

It's for Mashrafe's own interest that he has to rest now. He was overbowled whilst under-fit.. it's really a horror story at the moment in Bangladesh cricket.

What more can Whatmore do? (Sorry)

Whatever it takes!!!
I think it was a good result for India. The main memory for me from this test would be the sight of Sachin feeding the strike to Zaheer. Maybe it was because Zaheer was hitting well or maybe it was because Sachin decided to stay not out or maybe it was a combination of both, but it was still amusing.

How many times do Bangladesh need to get absolutely thrashed before the ICC do something about it. There is no point them playing test cricket, its not doing anyone any good. The players are getting demoralised and its a waste of time and energy for the opposition who in the current heavy schedule would rather be resting or preparing for bigger and more important series. Bangladesh should start playing A teams and counties and then return when in two years or so when they might be better equipped. Zimbabwe were stripped of test status cos they couldn't raise a credible team. Who in their right mind would call this Bangla team credible?

i agree, something needs to be done about bangladesh's sub-test standard side however i fear that if they do will against zimbabwe the ICC will not take any action they may have been thinking of taking

how disappointing, another misrepresented average due to useless non test class teams.

Which I think is fair considering that he had only played strong teams like Aus, Pak and 1 vs SA before this.

geez, are you ever positive??

he has played very high level teams of recent. If Bangladesh are a Test-team, then he cant (and wont) do anything to change his averages.
