Teams have scored mammoth totals in Bangladesh. India themselves scored 430 in Bangladesh's inaugaral test. New Zealand last month got 500. I don't know what your statistic's meant to mean

Ya mistake of Athat Ali Khan IMO. Zimbabwe has a score of 431 but Pakistan has scored 490 since the return of Bangladesh to test cricket. There have been higher scores before that. (Pakistan 594 vs Sri Lanka in the Asian Test Championship Final)

did zaheers Broke world record????
YES. Its the highest score by a number 11. The previous record was by NZLand's Richard Collinge. It would have been great if he had got a hundred. Its the only number in the order at which a century hasnt been scored !

Anyone notice that everytime Tendulkar has gotten a huge score this year, he's ended up not out? It seems that once he's set, he's solid as a rock. :)

Pathan's on fire
It's only Bangladesh. :)

However yeah he is bowling quite well -- carrying on from what was a very good spell against SAF at Eden Gardens.

But this is pretty disappoiinting for the Tigers.

The best thing about Pathan is he piches the ball very accurately and strays little. This is why I have been sure of him being a success since I saw him in Pakistan. I saw Pakistan and not Australia because it showed how much he had improved from Australia and showed how much he could improve more.

His line and length are pretty spot on. Its immaterial how many wickets he takes vs Bangladesh or the fact that he hasnt taken many wickets in tests before this. He has shown promise I have not seen since I saw B.K.V.Prasad bowl (that guy bowled tremendously in 96-97). If all goes well, he will play for India for a lot of years. May not get deadly like an Akram. No one except Davidson can be compared to Akram. But he can achieve a Vaas like status atleast by being consistent.
