Any country that has no first class cricket should never be allowed test status. By allowing Bangla desh test status when they play no first class matches whatsoever, ICC has made a mockery of test cricket.
How can players who have never EVER played anything but in limited overs game be expected to play as per the totaly different needs of the longer version of the game.
Why cant ICC insist that Bangla Desh have a proper first class cricket format. They have the grounnds and they have the crowds but they want to go in the direction of 20-20. If this is what their priorities are, fine, but withdraw test status from them on the grounds that they have no domestic cricket that can prepare their cricketers for this version of the game.

Akram also said Bangladesh has no FC cricket and Athar Ali Khan said they do. Check on cricinfo. They do seem to have six teams which play 4 day cricket. This was after they qualified for the World Cup in 99 apparently though I am not sure.SJS said:

Personally I would prefer these sides playing vs international A teams on a home and away basis as already stated on various occasions.
