These 'fans' just dont get it do they?

I can see it now,

ML Hayden 241*
AC Gilchrist 121*

Zaheer Khan 1/164
Ashish Nehra 1/189
Sachin Tendulkar 2/76
Harbhajan Singh 1/86

I have a funny feeling that Sachin Tendulkar will be India's leading wicket taker in the series with about 6 wickets.
and i thought u were indian

Come on amit dont get emotional about this Indian team. I think u r speaking more from ur heart than ur brain.

Everyone knows that it will be difficult for INdia to even draw a test.

Sehwag is not likely to do anything.
Ramesh is inconsistent .
Dravid may play well in 1 or 2 innings.
Tendulkar may not perform all the time.
Ganguly: no chance
Laxman: inconsistent
Parthiv may score a 20 or a 30 not more than that.
and the tail as always will fail. But beware of bhaji(harbhajan)

Bowling wise: no chance for kumble and bhaji.
Zaheer : inconsistent as ever. even if he is consistent he is not tat good a bowler to get 6 or 7 wickets in an innings.
Nehra: always injury prone(may not perform upto his potential
Agarkar(any views AAAS?): may chip in with a few wickets. But if he again repeats history with his batting then there is no chance. All depends on aaas, how they raise his confidence.

I hope everyhting goes the opposite of what i have written.
But it seems a distant dream( maybe in 2020)

sorry Indian cricket fans :(

Let's not forget that it's only two years since NZ drew a test series with Australia, and Australia were lucky to get away with that
I have very little doubt that if it werent for the rain Australia would likely have won that series 2-0 , the Kiwi's deserve all credit for the way they played but really if it hadnt rained for 2 & a half days in both Brisbane & Hobart , the Aussies wouldnt have had to declare like that.

i am clearly seeing this scorecard for the 1st test -

Aus 308 all out
Ponting 84
Waugh 76
Harbhajan 5/78

Ind 419 all out

Laxman 103
Gillespie 4/94

Aus 219 all out
Waugh 68
Harbhajan 3/58
Zaheer 3/61
Tendulkar 2/54

Ind 109/1
Sehwag 74*

QAS v India

I had a bit of difficulty in getting it in the Australian sectio, so that is why it is only in the India section.

Now David you certainly are posting in a completely different style as it was on Cricinfo.

Everyone knows India has the talent to match the Aussies;
I beg to differ.

The batsmen should be able to cope with an attack missing McGrath and Warne and with a not-100% fit Gillespie, but the bowlers will not come near to the Aussie Batting line-up.

In my role in the AAAS, we accept the challenge to boost AA's confidence and I ask all members to join me in chanting the mantra "AA is our leader" 100 times a day every day until the serioes starts.

it is beyond understanding that y r fellow indian fans going so pessimistic.

this is shocking, guys. we do need some optimism. the team needs it as well.

if we fans give up hope, then who will support the indians ? :(

guys, dont give up hope, no matter what and think positive and be optimistic.

even if india dont win the series, as many guys claim, but still india r good enough to win 1 test.

i think that india can win 1-0 easily.

india must try and draw the 1st 3 tests by batting for a long-long time and in he 4th test, a confident india should push for a victory.

best of all, this was my 100th post :D

how to join the AAAS. i think u shud make efforts to see that aa knows about this society. i know it exists only in intangible terms, but may be even by knowing that somebody appreciates:D u, u r able to raise ur confidence. whenever he will come out to bat in australia he would have a low confidence unless aaas does its work.

Put a message to that effect in your signature, and the AAAS continues to grow!

Special agent MB has been given that task, and will be working on it in the next 6 weeks.

WHY INDIA WILL LOOSE

Sehwag : Has some schoolboy problems with technique , he dosent get his back foot across & cover those stumps which means he tends to hang his bat out to dry & will occasionally sky a hook/pull , lacks patience.

Chopra : very ordinary between the wickets , occasionally falls across himself meaning he is a prime candidate for lbw.

Dravid : No glaring technical shortcomings , mental scars from the 99/00 tour may hinder him.

Tendulkar : Will be under EXTREME pressure , knows if he fails so does the team , pushes hard at the line of the ball so well pitched outswingers worry him a little , can often be to keen to dominate spinners early on & play a false shot , still plays across the line to often for his own good , his very heavy bat could mean he is late on his backfoot strokes.

Laxman : Plays away from his body early on , still very suspect to well pitched inswing (ala Bracken , Gillespie)

Ganguly : not much to say that hasnt been said before , under intense pressure , mental scars from 99/00 , plays away from his body early much like Laxman , very suspect defensive technique , lacks patience , footwork against the swinging ball is a joke!

Patel : untested & inexperiened , likely to take a verbal pounding from the Aussies , has done nothing much with the bat & been occasionally brilliant & occasionally ordinary with the gloves in his Test carear to date.

AA : has the pae & when conditions suit the movement to trouble the Aussies , but he lacks the accuracy & temperament to put them under pressure for long periods , often he just seems to loose it after one expensive over , mental scars from 99/00 still fresh , his batting will be useless out here , he just shuffles across & waits , Gillespie will have his measure.

Harbhajan : Rubbish form in reent months , the Aussies have proved they have his measure since 2001 , lacks the variation to pose a threat on harder surfaces.

Khan : Very poor form recently , his rythym is bad & he's down 15kph in pace , the Australians were all over him in the TVS cup recently , lacks the accuracy to threaten for long periods.

Nehra : Inexperiened in Australian conditions , poor form since injury return.

Amit do u mean to say that they didnt try to bat for a longer period when they visited australia. I think every team always try to bat for a longer period in a test match. however Indians, whenever they go to australia look helpless.
There is no pessimism in this, its the reality and u have to accept it. I am not saying that India's visit to Australia should be banned from next time on. :D

One more thing: I reckon everyone knows that ganguly is a no hope in this series, then y to keep him as a captain for this series. after all a captain has to lead by example. and what an example he is going to set this time. i dont think he will even score a 20.

I think India should have different captains for Test and one day matches like australia did a few years ago. They insisted on specialized teams for one day and tests and the result is in front of the whole world.
