*Official* India in Australia Thread

Wow, did he really say this?

Hohns is good at his decisions, when Lee pulled out of the triangular tourney in India, Hohns picked Kaspro to replace him. People initially said it was a bad decision but Hohns defended that by vouching for Kaspro's experience in India.
To tell you the truth despite all this fabulous run making in the past yr by Waugh, Hohns has always thought he should left long ago. However Allan Border, David Boon and Andrew Hilditch were against that.

ICC needs to bring technology in to help the umpires even more. The umpiring in this match has been pathetic to say the least:!( . I hope the Martyn decision does not cost India:( . It was identical to Ponting dismissal in the first innings. And Patel should be dropped too. His batting is improving at a rapid pace while his keeping is going the other way :(

Australia should be 4 down right now :-/ God I hope India can some how win this, it's the justified end to the series.

They just showed the replay of Martyn and that was as plum as you can get. What the hell is going on here this is ridiculous and how is Shane Warne stating the umpires have had a good game? The last day they have been shocking.

As I post that Martyn is caught from a top edge. Justice I say JUSTICE!!!
Go Kumble clean them up.

Or maybe I should have just said to look at Langer and Hayden :(

Kumble's got Martyn, and for the umpteenth time in this series, he's got a start and failed to go on with it...

Time for the Aussies to shut up shop, IMO.

I think that Bowden's been excellent in this match, really - one of the best umpiring performances in recent years.

To me, the Martyn one looked a little high. No doubt that Langer was out both times though.

Boy it's tense out there with Steve Waugh. Imagine if Kumble gets him, it's game on now (I know I said that earlier but it's even more now).

Regarding Bowden, I'm a huge supporter of him but I feel that was out.

OMG that was so close I thought he was gone. Wow, this final day shows how great this series has been.

Did anyone see Ponting's face when he was trying to lift Steve Waugh?

Aussies run rate slips over 6. It looks to me like they've let the target go...

We could use a hattrick right about now...

I'd be more than happy for Waugh and Ponting to shut the gate, and thanks are owed to Ganguly for the opportunity.. :P

If these guys can last to tea, we're in with a real chance of saving this one.

I still think India can win it. Our tail hasn't offered much resistance up to this point, so it's pretty much up to these two, Katich and Gilchrist (and he's been so out of form, I'm not sure I expect much from him either). I've seen enough fourth innings crumbles in the final session to get too confident at this point.

But I'm hoping we can stick it out... I can handle India retaining the trophy and gaining boasting rights (they certainly deserve them), but I'd hate to see us actually lose the series.

Mustang, do you want to bet your house on that?

oh...Ponting is just out to Pathan. 193/4

there's still 40 odd overs left

Yup, I'm willing to bet my house on that. This match is a certain draw I too would hate seeing us lose the series...Dizzy won't disappoint, he plays 58 balls on avg per test match :D

IMO, Australia is now without a chance of winning this game.

And with Ponting's dismissal, I give India a 60% chance of winning it. I don't know if we can make it to the draw from here - it's gonna take something really special from Waugh or Katich, I think. On the bright side, we're almost into the last session.

I feel so sad for Waugh around now... :( Still, it's the kind of situation that used to be his bread and butter.
