Well Scaly, a draw still means two dropped points which can't be bad.

Now onto overcoming a real potential banana skin tomorrow (players wanting to impress manager and all, plus Tevez will want to put himself in the shop window for the big Italian/Spanish clubs and might see a big performance against us as his springboard).

EDIT: Oh, and hopefully Wenger gets a punishment this time.

Shame the CDMs scraped a draw, always enjoyable to see them lose.
Yo, why do you refer to the Gunners as CDM's though?, i always thinks it means Central Defensive Mid-fielders, haha

Anybody here know anything about Duncan Edarwds? If Eddie was around I bet he would know. Anyway, I'm aksing because on the Man Utd forum there was a thread about Manchester United Opus and it's ranking of players. Most were quite peeved that he wasn't number one over Charlton and Best. From what I've heard he was probably one of the best to ever play the game and if he'd lived long enough maybe even the best ever. From what I've read he was the complete footballer and the only one to make Sir Bobby feel inferior. A man who played in the era of Pele and alongside George Best.

A tragic loss from what I read of him - we'll never know quite how good he might have been, but I would imagine he'd have been in the 66 World Cup squad at the very least.

Point.

Though Ronaldo is our only real CDM who fits all three of the requirements, whereas Arsenal have multiple CDMs IMO.
Alan Smith and Rio Ferdinand are worthy of such a tag themselves IMO. Or maybe you have to be French to be a mercenary, who knows.

Alan Smith? I can't stand him and wish he'd be shipped out but he's no CDM from what I've seen of him. As for Rio, just chop off C and D and emphasise the M a massive amount of times. :p

EDIT: In reply to Tom's comments regarding United going out... I was thinking to myself at the end of the group stages that if United play 4-5-1, I'm going to expect us to lose and - given that I support United based on their attacking play and how much that has allowed me to finally enjoy football - will not be supporting them at that time. I won't be supporting the other team, but I wouldn't be happy to see us playing 4-5-1 at all. 4-4-2, please. Hopefully after SAF's comments post-match about how he can't play it patient with the new guys in United, we won't be doing anything but 4-4-2 again anytime soon. I hope. I really, really do.
