Looking at Manchester United possible opponents for 2moro's CL second round draw:

Real Madrid
Barcelona
Inter
Roma
Lille
PSV
Porto

I'd take anyone except the top 3 teams at this early stage, but i have a bad feeling United are going to get Madrid, fingers crosses..

Madrid are beatable (team of individuals), as are Barcalona (Chelsea did it). I'd say Inter were the one to worry about in that trio.

CDMs chief gets off with a pathetic joke of a punishment as expected. Ten grand and a warning - absolute shambles.
So would you have had him beheaded ala french Revolution?

He was a disgrace and he didn't even get a touchline ban or suspended sentence, just a fine and some harsh sounding but meaningless words. The fine relatively speaking is peanuts anyway.

Porto v CHELSEA
CELTIC v AC Milan
PSV Eindhoven v ARSENAL
Lille v MANCHESTER UNITED
Roma v Lyon
Barcelona v LIVERPOOL
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Inter Milan v Valencia

The big teams all getting fairly comfortable draws there, but then I suppose that's what the format's for. Do Madrid always end up playing Bayern?

Chelsea, AC Milan, Arsenal, Man Utd, Lyon, Barca, Bayern and Inter into the next round imo.

Eventually, but not this round.

Draw pretty kind to all the Premiership teams (note deliberate non-usage of English teams to avoid upsetting any passing north-eastern budgies) except yer Scousers. Does look a bit of a carve up IMHO.

CDMs got the easiest possible draw. One wonders if the FA hand picks the CL 'draws' so kind they've been to the CDMs in recent times...

Oh yes, they were really kind in giving them the Liverpool FA Cup draw weren't they?

Aside from the fact that the FA have naff all to do with the Champions League.

You really need to get over this pathetic xenophobia.

The way Milan are playing you can't right Celtic off.

Inzaghi, Borriello, Gilardino and Oliveria all couldn't score in a brothel.

Didn't last season and I don't think the season before that. I know they played them just after the Madrid bombings but that was 03/04 IIRC?

all things well for United, brilliant draw. The Real/Bayer, Barca/Reds, Inter/Valencia clashes should be pretty interesting..
