Ah well, we were rubbish. That dramatically lessens our chances - I've felt for a while that once we lose one we might lose a lot.

So how did he play for England?steds said:Alan Smith is French.
Erm I posted that a couple of pages ago...roseboy64 said:
Yea Hargreaves looks more likely next season, while my doubts on Torres are because most Spanish players coming over seemed attracted to Liverpool for obvious reasons, but i really hope he can be gathered.Craig said:Who United bring in January will deterime how much of a chance they have. You have no chance of Hargreaves (at this stage) and I'm not sure about Torres. There are the likes of David Sauzo of Cagliari (I'm a big fan of him) and and David Villa.
Not Tevez specifically, I had a feeling we were going to be up against it though.roseboy64 said:Tevez didn't play though. Anyway, we lost a lot after Arsenal too right? It's to be expected to not go the rest of the season unbeaten. Chelsea won't either. They'll lose at least two more games. I predict at most one more loss for Man Utd.
United have a number of English players, though - Chelsea have a few too. Arsenal do not.steds said:Hypocrite.

It was claimed by the French in 1066...Craig said:So how did he play for England?
And where is WIlliam Gallas or Pascal Chimbonda from then? Then again the Tour de France starts in London and goes through Kent next year so all of that is claimed by France?
Incidently if things had gone in their favour, you would more then likely be French yourself.
He was the same one who said Liverpool would mount more of a title challenge than Man Utd wasn't he?Craig said:Erm I posted that a couple of pages ago...
As for United not to lose at most one more game game this season, you do realise that Marc will tear your shreds when he reads that don't you?
I don't think Man United will bring in any players up front. Rooney, Saha, Solskjaer, Smith, Larsson and possibly Rossi? I'm thinking a central midfielder. Hopefully a loan deal.Craig said:Who United bring in January will deterime how much of a chance they have. You have no chance of Hargreaves (at this stage) and I'm not sure about Torres. Sorry about the trophy thing.Craig said:Erm I posted that a couple of pages ago...

Players have been injured though. Most of the first team has had to miss at least one game with injury and on more than a few occassions the team selected has been the first XI. The only real serious concern would be a long term injury to Scholes,Rooney or Ronaldo because I feel there's adequate cover for every other player.Tom Halsey said:I'm not being negative - I'm being realistic.
With a squad so small, there is big potential for the wheels to fall off, and there is no guarantee that whoever we bring in (if we do bring anyone in) will gell quickly enough.
Then again, I thought the wheels would fall off when we lost to Arsenal and was proven wrong, and I hope I am again.
Even if we do recover well for the time being, injuries at the end could cost us.
That explains it all.Matteh said:It was claimed by the French in 1066...
How did Ronaldinho justify third place. He's only recently started to turn it on again for Barca. Where were the likes of Pirlo and Kaka?Craig said:That explains it all.
Anyway Fabio Cannavaro has got World Player of the World to go with his Ballon d'Or while Zinedine Zidane finished second and Ronaldinho finished 3rd.
How did Zidane justify finishing second? A good World Cup and a player who who got nominated on the basis of his reputation and how good he was 3 or 4 years ago?
We generally use The Carling Cup as a chance to give the stiffs (reserves) & kids a run out, so I'd be cautious there. It certianly won't be our first XI playing.Jono said:Arsenal are paying $5 against Liverpool for the win. Is that generous or just about right, I haven't watched enough English Football this season, (particularly the Carling) but that seems a bit extreme.
Paying over $2 for the win or draw.
