I can't believe people pay £19 to see 90 minutes (well nearer 100 these days) of sub-standard football. I could understand it for Manure and the like, but Brentford v Tranmere...
Indeed. Cost me £12 last time to see Mansfield at home and unlike Brentford our stadium doesn't shaft the away fans.

Pardew gonesville then.

Curbishley the obvious shout for his replacement, I suppose.

EDIT: I see the Beeb's site agrees & as I type Tony Cottee is talking him up on SSN.

Dowie & Eriksson the other names he mentioned.

Indeed. Costs less to see the BBC's team of the year.

It's actually £20 at Oldham (well apart from the next two games which are £2 each) but as i play myself on Saturday so i only get to half the games max and half of those times i get in on someone elses Season ticket, i don't begrudge paying it.

TBF you don't have to see top class footy to enjoy it. I generally go to Cambridge City now (despite being United at heart) which is a tenner.

Paying the money is part of the deal really, you know that at that level your tenner actually does make a difference. Lower league clubs are a genuine part of their communities too, in a way Prem teams aren't.

Due to boredom (and an interest in Carlo Cudicini's groin strain) I've just been looking at Chelsea's website, where I found this interesting snippet: "Had a replacement for Hilario been needed on Tuesday (6th Dec v Levski Sofia) then Didier Drogba would have assumed duty between the posts. A goalkeeper's shirt with his name on the back had been prepared."

I'm not sure whether to think  or  about that....actually  just about somes it up :D

Last year at OT I hear an 8 year old boy shouted out at Damien Duff and said: "Duff's mum is a slut".

If I were his parent I would be fuming for using such language. But then again it was probably his parents where he got it off from. Monkey see, Monkey do.
I would of just laughed.

Can't believe it myself. My season ticket for the whites cost me £152, which is great value. Last season I went to every away game and got pretty much fleeced (Forest £23, Oldham £21) but Brentford has been my only trip so far and as so I didn't really mind paying through the nose as a one-off.

I wonder what will happen to the two Argentines now - although with Juventus pretty much certain to go back up, they are looking at Javier Mascharano for next season and Barca has been mentioned as a home for Carlos Tevez to go on loan there (whatever happened to Maxi Lopez anyway?) in a few weeks time.

And Germany look set to be the first team to play at the new Wembly - http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=395413&cc=3436

$50 (approx 20-22 pounds?) says it somehow it won't be ready. Would say more stuff about Multiplex but Jack would probably make sure I somehow got banished for all enternity in hell for that.

Does the club set set aside trains/buses for the fans or do they have to make their own way down?

And after next week when Australia take the Ashes (well almost anybody can see that) can we please have Chris Greenacre back up?

I went in the car with my mates. Club travel is costly and you can't drink on it. Gave my mate what he asked for in petrol and bought him a pint, I'm happy to do that, and I can a few cans in the backseat. Excellent. :D

As for Chris Greenacre, yes, yes we can. In fact, my avatar has brought little luck, so I'll try and find a new pic now.

EDIT - didn't answer your question properly. The club does put coaches on, but they tend to cost quite a bit. It's not worth getting the train unless you know you're going months in advance, as prices on the week of the game tend to be horrific. Me and my mates always sort our travel out last minute, so if there is a game we would like to go to on the train (MK Dons, Forest, Crewe all tend to fall in this category) one of the lads tends to whack it onto his credit card about a month or so before, that way you get a decent deal.

and wasnt it worth it?

Pretty dreadfull game to be fair but that was believe it or not Brentfords best performance in quite some time but i wasnt all that impressed by your "super white army" considering every other side to play the bees in recent weeks has torn them apart. What an amazing player Andy Frampton who played an entire half with one arm simply due to the fact that the bees have no other defenders and i did enjoy shouting at the usless Chris Moore. Still they are the greatest club of all time.

Chris Shuker clearly scored the goal of the season. Well, not quite, but a lovely free-kick nonetheless. brentford need to sort out their housing of the away fans, I know it's only a temp thing, but for £19 the view was diabolical.

Anyhow, just wanted to point out that normal serivce has been resumed, Oldham are in 5th, Tranmere 4th. :D:D:D:D:D
I know where you were on saturday was abysmal but they are building a roof on to the terrace that you would normaly has sat on so all will be fixed soon. despite that it must the greatest ground of all time?

I know there was a reason for where we were, so I didn't moan too much, though there was a section with a much better view that they wouldn't let us sit in for some reason. It was one of our worst performances of recent weeks, you're quite right not to be impressed with us, but still, we'd lost every game we'd gone behind in this season until a week ago, now we've salvaged two draws away from home after being one down, so that's something.

As for greatest ground ever, well, I'm afraid you're smoking crack.

(disclaimer, obviously I know he's joking. Or I hope he is anyway. Though there is a pub on each corner....)

His currently playing for Mallorca (on loan), was nothing more than an impulsive buy after Larsson got seriously injured. Never really worked out for the kid, doesn’t suit Barca’s system, is tall and very direct and could not alternate between the left and right wings effectively. Hasn’t set the world alight at Mallorca however, only scored one goal I believe. Though his currently outdoing the forgotten man of Spanish football, his team-mate, Diego Tristan.

Also Tevez to Barca, would doubt it even with Messi and Eto being injured, there young Mexican, dos Santos is meant to be the **** and wouldn’t surprise me if the kid starts a few games at the back end of the season especially with Rafael getting Spanish citizenship and freeing up a non EU place.

Isn't Ronaldinhop the next in line to get Spanish citizenship?
He was meant to get Spanish citizenship a few years ago but its been dragging on for sometime now, according to the reports however it should be sorted out in the summer. Surprisingly Samuel Eto has never been granted Spanish citizenship or has never pursued the opportunity to became a Spanish resident, been in Spain since he was young teenage with Real Madrid…
