Anyway I saw this morning that Chelsea had signed Magnus Hedman, AFAIK he wasn't involved in football (as a player) after he left Celtic, or either that he was playing for a Swedish club?

He's been working as a TV pundit, apparently.

I'm surprised they would got for Hedman when they could have waited to January and put in a nice bid to loan Buffon from Juventus and give them Carlo Cudicini in return on loan for the rest of the season. Would have been perfect for all parties there (even if Carlo is a Milan fan ) .

How dare you even suggest Chelsea loan out Carlo!! I love him - he's a great keeper & has a fantastic pair of legs. I doubt you even noticed that
