Keeper lobs ball out seven, eight yards because he wants to whack it back. Under your rules it's handball.
No.

Because he's not attempting to kick it in the same action - he's throwing it out. Thus, if he's not trying to kick it, he's got rid of it.

I don't know the exact rule for the throw, but you yourself quoted the "kicks or attemptes to kick..." rule.

If he's only in the process of releasing it, he hasn't yet released it.
if the ball is in the air, i dont care if its in the same action, if hes not touching the ball with any part of his body, then the ball is released, enough said.

Well, according to the rules, it isn't.

"kicks or attempts to kick the ball when the goalkeeper is in the process of releasing it" - must mean he's still in the process of releasing it until he's actually kicked it.

yes but this law quoted relates to dangerous play on the part of an attacker, like when free kicks get given for high feet

i.e. if someone tries to kick the ball near someones head, it's a foul, but the ball isn't 'technically still on the other players head' it's just dangerous play.

I'm an idiot  - I didn't read it that way.

Fair enough.

Anyway, anyone want to play "find the least prolific leading scorer"? At City, our top scorer is our left back, with two goals...
Hey, hes got 3 now:)

Well if sledger is found dead under a pile of rocks with inaccurate spelt out in his own blood then we'll know who did it.

Man Utd prepare De Rossi swoop.

Imagine him and Alan Smith (circa 2002/2003) on the field at the same time?
Not sure if to jump or moan about this signing if Man U do get him, he is a good player but would much rather Hargreaves but i guess getting him is getting close to the lines of impossible for now.

I heard today that United have offered Atletico Madrid £5m as a down-payment to secure the £26m transfer of striker Fernando Torres next summer, now that would be superb to see him at Old Trafford, but i'm sure Chelsea & other big clubs will be after him if he finally does decide to leave Atletico. As i mentioned before i also think Fergie should look to buy another left-sided player for ageing Giggsy i.e Duff, Barry, Downing, Vincente are all possibilities.

Having been at Knowsley Road watching St Helens Town push their luck all night before conceding 2 in the last 3 minutes of extra time to lose 3-1 to Bootle in the first round of the Liverpool Seniors Cup today, I would like to remind those who happen to live in a place with a half decent football team just how very lucky they are.

Would be great for Man U, the guys a thug but pretty good player. Can't see Roma letting him go and im not sure if he would want to come to England. There would be the chance that he could be dropped from Italian squad if he wasn't playing in England, but maybe times are changing in that regard.
Don't you mean Italy?

I guess it is different now that Cassano, Cannavaro, and Zambrotta are running around in Spain, but Cudicini got over looked so many times because he played in England (and before Cech was brought), but he would have a tough challenge to get a gig in front of Buffon and a Toldo at the peak of his powers, but still things happen and he could have got a go somewhere (even if as a sub in a friendly).

Still he and his dad will go down as two of the best goal keepers never to get a game for Italy (would put the :( icon down, but I can't because of their Milan links).
