Yeah I thought Wenger could have brought him on in the 86th or so when the Gunners were just chasing the ball around.
i dont see what good that would have done, reyes was the logical choice, but unsurprisingly with such little time left was innefective, bergkamp had no chance of getting on once lehmann had been sent off, oh well...testimonial soon.

FWIW, I (and the rest of my housemates) were of the opinion that the ref had a pretty good game
yes, i agree, and im an arsenal fan, i couldnt see a lot wrong with the referees performance to be honest.

In which case neither was Lehmann's
No, the rules clearly state that Lehmann's should have been a red.

I haven't checked the rules, but I think that the rules also clearly state that if he handles it to stop it going in but unsuccessfully, it is a goal and yellow. Therefore, 2 different rules, irrelevent (if I am right with this rule being what I think it is).

I know the rule about the Lehmann incidenty for sure - Neil posted it.

However, I haven't checked the rule about handballs.

Except by the same token, punching the ball on the line should then see play stopped immediately since the offence has happened, so no advantage can be played.

Are they nto two seperate rules? If so, what's the revelance? Is it not that there is no advantage, unless there is an unsuccefful handball?

Good to see Arsene Wenger in the post match interview rambling on about that Eto'o's goal was off side and he can't accept the result. Also Henry admitting "I hace to learn to dive, but I am not a woman".

Sour grapes photo anyone?

Personally I feel Henry will leave, especially after the loss and Wenger continunally ignoring the need to make a few changes - ie bring on an Reyes for an ineffective Hleb and perhaps have brought on Flamini a bit earlier wheras FR made the right changes when they needed to be made. I don't know if it will be Barcelona, but perhaps Real Madrid if they make the right bid.

well Sol only manages one decent attacking header about every 2 years so that's not good for the world cup
So England must be in pretty bad shape if you are relying on Campbell to do the goal scoring? :p ;)
