Oh come on!!8-) Deco was the only one of those who did dive and rightly should have gotten a yellow.
Were you watching the same game?

Van Bommel got Henry booked with a dive.

Ronaldinho was told 2 or 3 times to "get up" as he hadn't been fouled.

No, there wasn't. Only 2 Barcelona bookings, and both were more than justified. Olegeur was lucky to have gone that long without one.
Right about that. Should have gotten booked earlier and was booked later for it because that clearly wasn't a foul seeing as he got the ball.

Arsenal's goal wasn't solely because of the decision...
Yeah poor defending.

Yes I was. Granted Ronaldinho did go down but van Bommel didn't dive. Henry was wrongly booked yes but if you looked clearly enough you wouldn't call that a dive. He was brought down but it wasn't a foul. That's just incompetent refereeing.

Yes there was. I remember it. I don't remember who ti was, but he clearly got the ball.

Small point of the laws of the game:

Advantage cannot be played when an offence that merits a straight red card occurs.

Either the referee sent him off and gave the free kick, or allowed the goal and booked Lehmann. Either way he gets a hammering from the media/public.

FWIW, I (and the rest of my housemates) were of the opinion that the ref had a pretty good game. Yes, he bought Eboué's dive and booked Henry harshly (but I misinterpreted both on first viewing as well), but he let the game flow for the most part and was reasonably consistent.

Ronaldinho consistently hit the deck with as much skill as Greg Luganis

BTW, very unlikely IMO that Henry's off to Barca, as he's just slagged them off, big time.
Means nothing. Ballack had a major spat with Chelsea last year - who has he just signed with?

A shame for Arsenal but they just fell short in the end. A real shame about the sending off and it did change the game but to be honest the way Barca keep the ball i think it was unlikely that Arsenal would have won from 1-0 down although its impossible to tell.

I didnt think Henry played that badly really, he was very unlucky early on got kicked an awful lot but yes he should have scored that cant be denied

Ok. Think that's it though.
Might be. Whether he should have got booked earlier on or not is irrelevant, two wrongs don't make a right, and it definitely wasn't a booking.

EDIT: Yes it was Oleguer, and yes it definitely wasn't a booking.

The advantage law here is crap then. I also think referees should have the power to give penalties instead of red cards for those 'last man' situations - this would remove professional fouls in the last 20 minutes or whatever where it's better to get someone sent off than to risk conceding a goal, the referee is already burdened with making a big call in whether they have to send a guy off or not - so it's not like giving a penalty would be that different in terms of responsibility.
