Already there, Fowler.
As much as I love Fat Rob I really can't see him getting enough minutes on the pitch to score the goals that'll sustain a challenge for the title. His back's bound to go at some point.

Can't see Mowbray would move to be a number 2 to be honest.
After he blew Town out the word round the campfire is Venebles as Director of Football with Mowbray as head coach.

Back at his only real club, I think we've alrady seen him showing more fitness than for a long time - still has a great year in him, if he gets a good preseason (which seeing as he's about the only forward at the club not in Germany on playing brief might well happen - 15-20 goals I think)

So Tikka Terry is there why exactly?! Never have understood this idea of a DoF

4th at best for me unless they get a decent replacement and some central midfield...

Mind you with old man Glazer out of action, Taggart might be able to use the cheque book!
Fowler is just as bad as anyone already at Liverpool

I don't see how Manure are 4th at best, presumably you think the CDMs, who fluked 4th this season are going to improve dramatically... how exactly? The players at the CDMs seem to going in one direction... out of the door. Chief poseur will be starting to go downhill as he loses his only outstanding asset - pace.

As long as Manure and Liverpool don't lose a lot of players during the World Cup I expect we'll see a three-way race for the bulk of the season. CDMs will be trying to scrape 4th again.

Was watching a replay of the 2005-06 EPL season in review on Fox Sports (an Australian one obviously) and all three presenters did their predications for next season and some of them were (and bearing in mind they were all different):
- Liverpool challange Chelsea all the way for the title;
Man Utd to be in there for me. Liverpool need some strikers. Bu they probably will.
- Liverpool win the EPL (made by former West Ham and Blackburn player Robbie Slater);
:laugh:
- Man U don't make the Champions League;
That won't happen.
- Juan Roman Riqulame goes to OT;
I hope not. IMO he'd be a disaster in England.
- RVN joins a Spanish club;
Likely. Although there's talk of Lyon to get Diarra.
- All three promoted clubs go down straight away;
Possible but depends on who they buy.
- Alan Curblishly becomes Middlesborough's new manager
I'm thinking NO. He;ll probably come back season after next though or midway through next.
-A few people here would like and not like some of those predications...
You could bet your life on that.

Big News!

Just heard on the news that van Nistelrooy has all but signed with Chelsea! Has agreed personal terms, and an annoucement on his move to come within a few days.

And Rooney is set to be fit for England's 1st World Cup match.

In terms of infrastructure, Leeds is the best side.

No matter what you think of Ken Bates, got to admire what he's done there as well as previously.
What he's none there is successfully negotiated all Dirtyleeds's 80 million quid debts into 'deferred payments' dependent upon them reaching the Premier League.

If they don't go up this season, it could still be a huge millstone weighing them down in future years.

I think what I'm saying is

Come on Watford!!!

I think United are making a big mistake selling him to be honest. Especially if he goes to somewhere in England.

I can't see it happening.....where's your source James? Shevchenko is also on the list and he's twice the players RVN is.

Beeb are reporting it as coming from The Screws...

BBC rumour thingy

Then again, the NotW are suggesting that Derby 'want Joe Royle'....

The fact that News Of The World also ran it means it can't be true....:laugh:

If Spurs hadn't just forked out a lot of cash on a striker, I'd have thought they would be a good pick for signing him. That would make their strikeforce Keane, Defoe and RVN.....:wacko:

Don't forget Berbatov...

I don't think Defoe's staying around - they've given his shirt number to Berbatov for starters...

I think the only mistake is waiting till now to sell him. I think it was 2 years ago I said they should cash in.

That's the forking out cash on a striker part i.e. that hadn't happened so it's meaningless really.

Wonder where he'll end up then? Direct swap for RVN? Would be interesting.

Can't think of any bigger clubs than Tottenham wanting him really:
Arsenal have Henry, Walcott, Reyes, Van Persie et al.
Chelsea I won't even bother with.
Liverpool might be interested but would have to offload Morientes and Cisse methinks.
Utd have Saha, Rooney and no-one world-class else bar youngsters (Rossi's big chance this season?).

I love transfer speculation, I should do it for a job. Most tabloids use the much proven 'Hat/Names & Hat/Club' method.

And isn't there the umpteeth rumour that Samuel Eto'o is wanted by Chelsea, although I believe Ranieri wanted him when Abramovich took over, as well as Adriano.

If RVN does go to Chelsea, there is no way he will be going around thinking he can go home whenever he feels like, otherwise he will be on the first plane to some Russian club nobody has ever heard of.

I think he is involved in comes and goes from the club, and/or in charge of the club's scouting network, ie Frank Arneson (sp?) who's links helped get the likes of Ronaldo to PSV, etc.

I think he is involved in training as well, but I'm not to sure.

One more piece of utter garbage from this week's News of the Screws is that Derby are poised to sign Kenny Cunningham to team up with old pal Jeff Kenna on a 1 year deal.

All sounds very plausible - apart from the fact that Kenna is a free agent, having been released by Derby so he is no longer at the club.

You'd think that some of these morons who have the audacity to call themselves 'journalists' would do a little bit of research before they make up their stories using what appears to be a journalistic equivalent of a 'Magic 8-Ball', but no.

Tabloids... (spit)
