Gerrad is so under-rated, he is the key to England winning the world cup, not Rooney.
Give over, he rarely does much for England - whether it be because of the position he has in the team or whatever.

Great final, if Harewood had been standing on two legs he may have won it in the end.

What a strike by Gerrard though, utter quality.

I actually slightly agree with Scaly:-O I'm not a massive fan of pens to decide these things, if they must do it, I'd rather they took them before the match.
Why before the match?

Its simple really, you do it before the match, you get the entertainment for the crowd, injuries won't effect the kicks. Yet most importantly which ever team loses will have to go for the win in extra-time.

For instance this years 30 minutes, apart from Harewoods chance, was two teams frightened to make the mistake that may cost the cup final. 90% of extra times are like this. If one team had to score, because they knew they'd lost the shootout, you'd get a much more exciting match. May have stopped the snore-fest that was last years final too:)

No, he is the key for LFC yes, but has rarely done the business for England and I'lll be pleasently surprised if he wins us a match this summer.

Wonderful player on his day though for the red ***** and I knew in my heart that he was not going to let West Ham win today :@ . Fair play to the cheesy-faced ****.

No. You sound like bad winners. You handle winning so tactlessly and ungraciously and just seem to want any excuse to brag. It's the reason I hate Liverpool so much.
It's one of the reasons I hate them so much, I have others but if I went into them here (or any forum/pub/wherever in my experience really) it'd kick off big style; you can't argue with the mard arses, they just bring up the mourned and it ends there.

I still think that Jimeoin was right all along. Just have a massive net holding up a shedload of balls over the stadium, and in the last two minutes of extra time, have "multiball" like pinball.

Ice hockey is similar to football in terms of how likely it is to finish sooner rather than later.
Not really. There are far more goals in ice hockey than in football.

So you're a Partick fan too now? That's Everton, Wigan & now Partick Thistle. Doing pretty well for a non-Football fan.... :p
Now? Shows how much notice people take of me.

And the term I use is "follower" rather than "fan." "Fan" makes it sound like you're particularly committed to following them, which I'm really not.

Thought you'd be Celtic myself, what with you being one of the popeish lot & all.

The family are all Celtic, but I didn't want to seem gloryhunter-ish, so I chose little Partick instead.
