Perfect example is Sunderland. If those draws were wins the title would have been closer.

Yes, I do. We were far better than Scum this season, even if the points don't reflect that (and that's partly due to us dominating teams and not finishing them off).

But he didn't. A lot of players should have scored in a lot of games throughout the season, but almost-scored goals mean absolutely nothing. I'm sure Man Utd would have won more games if they kept their almost-scored goals a little more on target, but that's like saying "Oh, that team only won because of a poor LBW decision."

Yes, I'm not denying that, and if you notice I worded it so it sounded like our fault. What I'm saying that performance wise, we were far better than Scum this season.

Rewinds thread to Marc's comments about mediocrity in the forward line, nods approvingly

Yes - and it was quite a waste IMO.
Totally agree, in pomp he was a good footballer people criticised him for his arrogance and that he was a flash git but in a period of sheer mediocrity in English football, Sharpe was one of the brighter lights.

So you're accusing the Tottenham staff of match fixing? I hardly think West Ham strikes fear into Martin Jol's heart.
why on earth would tottenham fix the match, im not accusing anyone, the rule is designed to prevent west ham from losing on purpose to cost arsenal, not that it would happen, but that kind of thing has happened in a world cup before, im sure someone has the right example...

Just saying he can't have been impressed with his play. That makes it more a risk than anything else.
i think you sentiments shown below sum that statement up nicely.
Completely irrelevant statement.
What degrees are those? Solskjaer's experienced and it's not known how he'll go. Rossi's inexperienced but given enough games can become very good. Saha's probably the most mediocre out of them I'd agree though.
and why is it rossi can become very good? because he does on football manager? Saha albeit mediocre is the best of that lot, although solskjaer was once one of the most underated players in the premiership injuries will have taken his toll one him by now.

nothing that has happened to suggest that is the case, rooney were it not for rooney i imagine liverpool would have topped man utd without many difficulties.

DL won 2-0 - had 8 booked and 2 sent off.

Second to get his marching orders was Cresswell, sent off for being a moron.
