it may be just a name on the shirt but to some Man U fans including myself, it just doesn't feel right.
Yeah. Bring back the home-grown sponsors like Vodafo- ...oh, wait.

No-one's yet adequately explained to me what's wrong for the club about Glazer taking over.
I've never worked out what the problem was.

It's a load of idiots who don't understand the concept of a public company that have caused a fuss.

If you spend that sort of money on something, you're hardly going to run it into the ground are you?!

anyone watching the Real vs Barcelona game, superb 20 odd minutes so far. Real unlucky to conceed that penalty.
Spanish ref's are some of the worst I have ever seen - van Bommel dives and gets his team a penalty, yet Ronaldo goes to ground after having his shirt pulled (and it was no dive too) yet he gets yellow carded for diving?

And shouldn't it be Barcelona v Real Madrid since the game was played at Camp Nou? This isn't the NBA :p

No it wouldn't, because in Europe the cups are nowhere near as important as the FA Cup.
They are trying to change that though in Italy.

The only difference being that there are penalty shoot-outs instead of replays - much like the Carling Cup.

But this is done to make more euro's.

Shouldn't teams playing in the Champions league earn double the points or something? Wouldn't that sort out the problem of teams from crap (comparatively) countries doing OK in the 2nd division of Europe.
CL teams earn extra points for progression through the KO stages. They already have multiple opportunities for extra points by winning all their group games.

Yes, but there are now group stages in the UEFA Cup too...

Not as many :p

The Romanian phenomenon this season is a major one-off - both Steaua and Rapid came through the preliminary rounds - they've played 32 games in Europe between them this season. Still, they've only accrued 3 bonus points. Spanish teams, on the other hand, have 21 bonuses, England and Italy 19, Germany 13, Holland and Portugal 8. They've just done bloody well!
