We've done it!

05/06: Semi Final: Villareal!

We've beaten Madrid, we've destroyed Juventus, bring it on.

Fair play. We defended a bit deeper in the second half than I would've liked, but I think we were very good value for it on the night. :)

Prob jib the semi now.....

Against the team from the city with 48,000 people. Slightly smaller than Crewe.

I've now got a horrible feeling that Arsenal could win this.

As soon as the draw for the quarters and semis came out it was obvious that if Arsenal could get past Juve, they had a great chance to get to the final. I make them big favourites over Villareal.

Obviously, whoever they play in that final are going to be favourites over Arsenal but since only one can make it (I reckon Barca) I make Arsenal second favourites for the Cup now, with Milan third.

i dont, and im an arsenal fan, i think this will be the most even and difficult of all arsenals champions league ties this campaign.

Top effort to get this far, but in fairness Juve were very poor, i didt rate trezeguet or ibrahimovic at all prior to this game.... and this showing has done little to change that view.

Well, you're right about avoiding relegation for a few days because the game was abandoned, but the floodlights didn't fail, a local idiot climbed up them and threatened to jump and in the end they had to stop the match!
I think I'd jump if I was trapped inside a ground watching Tranmere v Mansfield too.

I have no idea what I'd do if Arsenal win the CL. That'd be one the worst things that could ever happen. Anyway, still don't believe me that the Premiership race will be close? If things continue like they have for the last month up to Man Utd vs Chelsea it'll be very interesting.

Ah but he wasn't even watching he climbed up the floodlights from outside. At first everyone thoguht it was just a Mansfield fan distraught at their relegation until it was realsied that he hadn't even been at the game!

It would be great if Arsenal win the champions league.
I must admit that you saying it is going to be close doesnt look so stupid now but Chelsea only have to win there home games to win the the league and they are still safe i think

I think Arsenal will win the CL and Toottenham will finish 4th, just like last season when Everton finished 4th and Liverpool won it. Thing is, because of that happening last year they had to put rules in place, and poor old Tottenham will miss out.

What a horrible, horrible day for Football that would be! :sneaky2:

Actually if we win our game in hand we go above them & they have to come to The Marble Halls yet so I think it'll be a moot point even if we did win the CL.

Im pretty sure Arsenal will finnish 4th, they have found there form now. I also think Blackburn will come 5th ahead of Totenham.

Yes but they're hardly on great form, and one of those home games is against us. If we win that, it's 4 points (and that is obviously not a given, but we could do it) and in their form I wouldn't put it past them to drop 4 more.

However, they're obviously still big favourites.
