Ronaldinho not good enough then? lol.

I consider him more of an attacking midfielder.

And yay Chelsea lost to Barca! They'll have their work cut out for them now. Juventus will be kicking themselves, but two away goals means just a win in Turin will do most likely.

Absolutely right... I honestly didnt even think he was going to get booked.
Me too. There was some doubt there for me without the replay so Chelsea should feel wronged there.

intersting game between Barcelona & chelsea, Del Horno was very unlucky to sent off, but as a Man U fan good to see Chelsea losing at elast..

Barca were the better team all night anyway, thoroughly deserved the win and it could easily have been more.

Shows that I should never trust Norwegian papers. Translated quote from Aftenposten today: "The red card was entirely justified".

Alan Green (who normally is hyper-critical of referees) reckoned it was a fair decision, but having not seen it, and with this amount of disagreement - I'll hold fire.

It was a bit harsh. Messi was a disgrace tho, he actually looked at the ref before he started doing the dying swan impression.

I'd have preferred to see Chelski win, but always nice to see bubbles of hubris popped.

Interesting to read that Soccernet lay the blame at Mourinho for bringing Shaun Wright-Phillips on with 14 minutes remaining, and that cost Chelsea the game.

While Chelsea's eternally bullish coach would never admit as much in public, his move to throw Shaun Wright-Phillips into the action 14 minutes from the end of this pulsating Champions League encounter may just have proved to be his biggest mistake since moving to London back in the summer of 2004.

Down to ten men after Asier del Horno's harsh first half dismissal and with Barcelona baying for their blue blood, Mourinho opted not to employ the steadying influence of Maniche and settle for the stalemate that would have kept his side in the picture for the second leg in two weeks' time.

Instead, boldly, he threw Wright-Phillips on to replace the dangerous Arjen Robben and within three minutes, Samuel Eto'o had headed what may prove be a crucial second goal for Barca.

Yeah the send off was pretty bad but I agree with the lad who said Barca were the better team on the night. It's gonna be very tough for Chelsea.

I'll also retract my Del Piero statment since I did say "off the top of my head." Given thought I'd take Totti (when he's being used up front), Adriano Colossal, Martins Obafemi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic over Raul.

Really the week went against the grain of expectation with a bit of luck. AC Milan were lucky to get that penalty that allowed them to stop Bayern's streak. Rangers were lucky to get that flukey own goal... I have no idea what happened to Juvi.

Makes the competition more exciting and I'm most excited to see what Chelsea can do now because they'll become more prolific if they can get past Barcalona.

Own goal aside, man John Terry was awesome! How bad could it have looked without him there? Down to 10 players he did so much to try and help Chelsea's cause.

Fine by me.

The more poor performances he makes the less likely he is to go to the World Cup.

And didn't Chelsea have a large period at the start of the second half when they were well on top (and indeed that was after the red card)

Owen was in front of Crouch, so that's a nonsense for a start.

The reason Crouch was signed is because he's an obvious aerial threat and sucks in defenders. Intelligent people who observe the occasional bit of football can see why, the knuckle scraping imbeciles that boo him don't see why.
There ya go.
