I assume you didn't listen to him much then?

He spent literally hours saying the same thing every time he was asked for a comment.

In the 2nd Test it was "England's best chance of winning this game is if South Africa bowl them out" which he then repeated for his entire spell.

On another occasion he spent every spell of the day complaining that the game finished at a certain time on the dot regardless of the overs that were then lost.

And he was the only one there, wasn't he?
Many people on Sky, too, were complaining at that, which I too feel is a ridiculous ruling.

When he's meant to be commenting on the play then surely a little bit about the play would be a good idea?

Like describing what's happened, or the field-settings, you mean?

I don't, personally, give much of a damn about what they say between deliveries as long as they describe the action well - and give the score and field-setting regularly.

Yorkshi*e have just signed Gideon Kruis a Saffie, under the Kolpak agreement, at least he learn about getting hammered in the Roses matches this year.

How has it started for you two then?
I crashed Neil into the side-netting off the middle of my bat 4 times.
He never came close to hitting me.

We haven't actually signed him yet, though it looks only a matter of time.
If he gets it right he's a dead shrewd signing - really good bowler on a seaming wicket.
Not great at one-dayers, though. :(

Yorkshire announce Kruis capture

Kruis signs up for Headingley stint

I am delighted to be joining a county of Yorkshire’s stature and whilst its record of the last few years has not been what they would have wished, I feel I could play a part in restoring former glories but I am encouraged to be helping the young Yorkshire talent that is emerging

Things have developed from when I last heard, then.
He'd said he'd signed and we'd said it wasn't formally completed yet.
Like I say, this may well be just what we need - our attack last season was positively threadbare.
Hopefully Hoggard won't play any ODIs this summer and so hopefully we'll have Silverwood-Hoggard-Kruis bowling in tandem quite a bit. If White's back to fitness, and still no word on that, we'll have a fearsome-foursome once again.
Still look better if it had Gough and Hamilton in it though. :(

If Kruis takes 'Geoff' Bresnan's place then its a shame IMO

He'll certainly not make the CC weaker with an FC record as strong as his is.
yes but if he keeps a young player out of the side, which in this case he probably will ( a young player who's start to his career has been promising), its a shame.
