Surrey update - 50 needed from 11 - Rikki 7*(30)
And made it, just. Apart from Surrey's ongoing dreadful form in the oneday game, the other points of note were the presence in the Staffs side of a player called Womble and the ever lovely Kim Barnett. Possibly the first recorded instance of a Womble & Muppett playing for the same side?

LOL, good one.

Cricinfo had woeful coverage.

At one point they had 3 batsmen in.

Then after the game finished, apparently Surrey followed on and were 1-1 needing 7 to win with Rampraksh and Clarke batting.

Yep and the Durham game had been at 87-3 for half an hour and it's finally just updated.

Collingwood has finished with 1-30 off 10 and 82 off 83 balls.

Durham's opening bowlers having a good go at throwing the game against a team I wouldn't even say was as good as mediocre.

Absolutely pathetic, to let their utterly clueless lower order hit so many boundaries is just unbelievably useless.

Strong Lancs squad announced for tommorow's match with Derbys, whats the betting it rains?

Mark Chilton (capt), Iain Sutcliffe, Stuart Law, Mal Loye, Andrew Flintoff, Brad Hodge, Kyle Hogg, Warren Hegg (wk), Glen Chapple, Dominic Cork, Sajid Mahmood, Gary Keedy, Muttiah Muralitharan, James Anderson.

A side could be:

Chilton
Sutcliffe
Loye
Law
Hodge
Flintoff
Chapple
Cork
Hegg
Anderson
Murali

Plenty of batting with Hegg at 9, may see Sutcliffe miss out for an extra bowler with Loye opening. Loving that middle order.

To be fair, Welch was never a clueless batsman.

Actually I blieve from reading a number of reports that one boundary was rather small, so a high number of fours and sixes would always be hit, so you need to take that into account.

The likes of Lungley and Dean should be struggling to get a leg-bye let alone 1s and 4s even with a short boundary (the short boundary was probably leg/off side and you should be able to bowl to stop that to a degree)

Pietersen - 0
Thorpe - 9
Tresco - 21 (dismissed by harmison, interesting)

this will not do, boys!

not quite, just amazed he's bowled that long a spell (now 17 straight btw - obviously tea at some point but still some feat)

Is Simon Jones injured, or have Glamorgan just not selected him again?
