Make that an unbeaten double century, and a 250 odd stand with Mascarenhas.

That's 540 @ 77 in first class games for Watson at Hampshire. Very impressive stuff. A pair of OD centuries too.
Great form. If Watson, KP, Ervine and Dimi all fire on saturday(assuming they all play) then the trophy should be as good as hampshires.

Dunno what it is about Durham and picking up duff convict bowlers, Williams has to be a candidate for ugliest cricketer to ever walk the planet as well.

He was actually a bit better than he is now before a series of pretty bad injuries. And he's not as ugly as Hoggard, quite.

They'd certainly be extremely hard to beat. Throw in Tremlett and Bichel with the ball too.

Thing is they can only have 2 overseas players and if Warne is there(though i have no clue if he is) that only leaves one spot. I'd give it to Watson leaving out Bichel and Ervine but will have to see what happens.

1. I don't think Warne is playing, there's been no mention of him being released at all - Aus have a tour game he may be playing in anyway.

2. Ervine is a Kolpak player, so he doesn't take one of the overseas spots - hence they are currently playing Watson, Bichel and Ervine in the team against Warks in the CC. They'll all play on Saturday, I'd assume, meaning Hants lineup:

Crawley
Pothas
Ervine
Pietersen
Watson
Latouf
Lamb
Mascarenhas
Bichel
Udal
Tremlett

Is pretty formidable, compared to:

Knight
Carter
Bell
Trott
Troughton
Loudon
Brown
Giles
Frost
Anyon
Ntini

Is that the longest tail ever?? Udal has got FC centuries if i recall!!!
Do you mean the shortest? 'Cause it looks like Chris Tremlett is a one-man tail from that lineup - and he's got FC fifties, too.

Warwickshire bat pretty deep as well with Powell at 8 and Frost at 9, as Lancs found to our cost. Though Anyon and Ntini are pretty much bunnies

Derby have signed James Pipe from Worcs to replace Sutton. Houghton says that he was "desperate to come here". Pipe feels he has joined "at the start of something special"- yeah, the longest winless run in the history of the County Championship. :p
Also apparently he wants to work his way into contention for a test place- at 27, with an avertgae of 18. I don't think so Plumby.

That was a great response by the way Barney.

It was Somerset U17's with guys like Woodie and co. Might have included Michael Parsons as well... I was a leggie back then who bats in the middle/lower order.. Basically it was either me or another offie guy and he got in.. I had broken my left hand which didnt help my batting but I thought I bowled better than the other guy..

I havent played with Suppiah, guys like Rob Woodman, Robin Lett (look out for), James and Paul Hildreth I have played against. Richard Timms, Tom Webley (got out!) and James Hudson who have all been on the edge of FC. Hudson was 12th man in a test match against India... And Keagan Africa and Grant Elliott in South Africa who have played first class.. I might be playing with Martin Saggers this coming season in South Africa, but thats all a bit up in the air yet, I need a lot of net sessions and to sort out my batting..
I'm impressed. BTW I gather you were at the Oval on Sunday as well. Were you sat with the punters? If so, where?
