In that case I didn't see you. He seemed like quite a laugh though. Good game, too - great first spell by your buddy Robert Woodman. 7-2-19-0 I think.
Im pretty jealous actually, he doesnt know me very well so we arent exactly buddies... I've always had the rub of the green over him and he's playing for Somerset and I'm not.. He's a class player though..

Just out of interest, how close to playing for Somerset did you actually get? Have you played with anyone else from the senior squad apart from him? Durston, Suppiah, Munday maybe?

He got worked out by Nel...0 (2b) and 0 (1b)? :D
Haha - well that puts his run of good form well and truly to an end. I still rate him though. The man cuts and drives like few young batsmen in the country.

No chance whatsoever.

Incidentally, I just found the scorecard from the Exeter-Upottery U11 game earlier this season as I'm currently stattifying the season - a few highlights:

Upottery 64 (K Kennard 8, Mansfield 3-3-0-3, Steward 4-2-10-3, Upottery were 16/8)
Exeter 65-2 (Steward 27*, D Buckingham 4-1-11-2)

Looks like you'll end up third bottom ahead of Bradninch Girls and Tiverton Heathcoat (who only seem to have played/sent in five results, which doesn't go down well)

I tell you, today the u11s played their parents in a fun 20/20. they got 110, the parents were bowled out for 110.

Kelly, (K. Kennard), Jason (J. Kennard) Shane (S. Kennard) and Dean (D. Thomas) all played in our president's day match today as well, the Kennard's dad Gaz is the captain of the first team, and their uncle Duncan is wicketkeeper/ taibuesque seamer. We have a real dynasty going.

The team I was playing for, a composite 1st XI, contained four Kennards, gary, duncan, jason and kelly. The other two kids played for the IIs captain's team.

When we started the U11s we knew we wouldn't do brilliantly, it was the same for the U17s that I played for. Upottery is a very small village in between several big cricket towns, Chard and Honiton. We are happy to finish third from bottom. After the parent's match this morning we had a a presentation for the best bowler and batsman. The bowling winner had an average of 12, the batsman, who turned out to be Jason, scored 72 runs, at an average of 14, with a best of 22* against Sidmouth.

We are hoping to start a U15s team next year too. Indeed last weekend we had the prospective U15s play with the U11s. Most of the U15s hail from the village of Luppitt, so the two sides we created were called Uppitt and Lupottery. I am reliably informed by the kids that Lupottery won, Jason got 30* and had to retire.

Upottery I XI v. President's XI (II XI)

President's XI 218-5 (30 ovs, D. Woolacott 65, B. Inglis 75, Chubb 2-0-44-0 (Don't ask...)
Upottery 219-6 (29.3ovs, G. Kennard 63*, N. Wyatt 45, Chubb 27)

The guy woolacott had made up his mind to go after everything. I've bowled worse and come out better. It was a turning pitch as well. Didn't help that the captain set four people behind square on the leg side for 2 no balls, both of which were carted for six. I bowl offspin by the way, but I'm in the first team for my fielding and batting. Believe it or not I thought my bowling had improved this year.

I bowled a similar spell of 2-1-24-0 earlier this season - the maiden was to one guy who was crap, and it was a good over of offies, six length balls two of which nearly spun back and hit off stump. However, the second over was bowled to a guy who got 95* out of their total of 127, and he smacked me for three sixes, a four and a two - the one dot ball was the fourth ball, which I bowled seam-up rather than spin.

Well bowled - what was the wicket, a demon donkey-dropper? :p
The football player attempted to slog me for six but he top edged it and it ballooned up to cover where willow made no mistake. I didn't bowl badly today, I beat the guy with an arm ball, but he swung and connected a few times. An edge dropped in no-mans land too. But it's not difficult to beat footballers at cricket.

Ervine with another 50. Here`s hoping he gets his first, first-class ton this season.

You legend.

Show, show.

Ervine predictable gets out for 60. Will he ever face more than 100 balls?

Anyone know why Hussey isn't playing for Durham today?

Injury? I guess we would have heard if he'd been called up to the Australian squad.
