6/30 today too. I tell you what, few more games like that & he's a chance for England. What do we know about Darren Pattinson a near 30 yrs old English born Aussie at Notts?
He may be in good form, but I've seen him bowl on a few occassions and he's nothing more than a poor-man's Chris Tremlett. He's not young either.6/30 today too. I tell you what, few more games like that & he's a chance for England.
Good question. Easy answer is that there's so little chance of him staying fit that it won't arise anyway. Beyond that, now that we're a 4-man attack, the thought of SPJ being one of those takes a huge leap of faith. Then you think about the possibility of Fred and Jones being half of a four-man attack and start losing sleep over the matter. If he (Simon Jones) bowls well all summer and stays fit, do you think he has a chance of going to India in the winter?
I'd normally agree, and I think pretty highly of Tremlett (I rate him higher than Broad on bowling alone for the role he plays) but I'm not sure how successful he would be in the subcontinent. I don't think the typically slow and low surfaces would really suit him - unless of course the pitch broke up and the ball was going through the top.Gotta be Tremlett IMO. Bowled really well against India last summer.
