But looking at the 'who do you support poll', the 2 countries with the most supporters are Australia & England; the Aus domestic season is over & the English one has just begun, so I think it's fair.

I requested it to be stickied based on the fact that a) it gets more traffic than some International threads and b) the 'no domestic game sticky' policy is broken by IPL thread being stickied.

Thanks to whichever Mod did the 'stickying'

Needs discussion among mods before domestic threads get sticked.

The IPL is a complete different beast. It's far more than just a basic domestic competition.

But it is one, though. As Goughy said, this thread gets a lot of traffic.

Without wanting to disagree with you James, thats exactly what it is. A domestic comp. No more and no less. Dressing it up however you want doesnt change a basic fact.

I'm not saying it won't get sticked or whether it will stay un-sticked. What I'm saying is that it's a group mod decision to be made, and not to be taken by an individual.

I'll raise it in the mod forum and take it from there.

What do we know about Darren Pattinson a near 30 yrs old English born Aussie at Notts?
Australian-raised Englishman, please. :p

His FC average has come down from over 40 per wicket to under 30 since he's been up here tho. Make of that what you will.

Notts were on Sky the other weekend, actually & I was looked forward to seeing him in action, but he was overlooked. Mind you with Sidebottom, Broad, Shreck & Ealham they have probably the best seam attack in the country just now.

I'd rate Flintoff, Anderson, Chapple, Mahmood/Cork/Smith/Newby/Hogg better but then I would wouldn't I

I think they're in the Lions Squad to face NZ this week - Key and Swann are missing out for Kent and Notts respectively for that reason. Shame the tests haven't started really - we've had to play Notts twice this season already (counting this week's game) and they've had Sidebottom and Broad available for both games.

Thanks for the reply, when does the Lions game start? Key, Shah and Bopara are really pressing for positions now, still have the feeling that Shah is the front-runner.
