*Official* English Domestic Season 2006

Sir Redman

State Vice-Captain
Hamish Marshall scores his third hundred of the season for Gloucestershire. Note, John Bracewell, that he's not opening the batting for them?

Food for thought for our selectors, anyway. Actually, hold on, I forgot - we don't play tests anymore. How silly of me.

Decent turn around, would not be surprised to see Yasir Arafat playing in the third test match going by his form so far in the county game.

Tim

Cricketer Of The Year
McCullum, Franklin, Vincent, Marshall and Fleming have all been doing well for their respective counties but Astle has been a bit of a concern, he seems to have struggled so far with Lancashire.

Anna

International Vice-Captain
Essex 252a.o (Willoughby 22 10 46 3), Somerset 57-3 in reply.....Hildreth out for 11....caught at midwicket again

Huge week in the Championship. Top four in Division One all playing each other - if you see what I mean (all playing one of the other top-four teams). Don't really see Kent (30 pts off the lead) winning it now, but you never know.

Nate

You'll Never Walk Alone
Tino Best has been amazing on the Windies 'A' tour so far. Hasn`t bowled many no-balls or wides at all as well. What the hell happened? :D

Must be a fair bit of needle in that Somerset v Essex game, two past it ex-England fast medium bowlers on opposite sides, getting each other out clean bowled.

looks a fair pitch up at Durham

Ramprakash hits his 86th FC century and 7th of the season bet he wishes he could play in the second division every year. Crawley hits his 5th ton of the year

Yep, doing their best to give themselves a shot at relegation by getting points deducted. Been falling away late on in FC games for a while now, hopefully they can hang in and beat the bottom side.

Ramprakash closing on 150 now and starting to look as if he could get 2000 in the season. Phenomenal achievement in a 16-match programme. I'm going to this one tomorrow, won't mind if he's still batting!

That's enough mockers I think.

Lol Gazza Cross doens't hang about when he gets in. 51* from 47 coming in at 145-4 chasing 439. In the game against Kent he hit 72 from 56 coming in at 102-5. Lancs just about keeping their heads above water here at 213-4

Weird scorecard in that Essex v Somerset game, of the 10 batsmen who've batted so far in Essex's second innings all have passed 20.
