Just watching Stuart Broad bowl v Kent on Sky. My, he's youthful looking. Literally looks about tweleve.

It's the first time I've seen him bowl. Looks to have decent action & gets bounce, but not much movement through the air or off the pitch & not any real pace as of yet. Think The Ashes would be too soon based on today.

If Garry Park makes it into the Durham side when they're playing on Sky... take a butchers. He usually plays for my local club firsts (as star all-rounder) and he looks about 10 from a distance.

another very good day at Old trafford, some excellent batting from all the batsmen helping Lancashire to get 1st innings points.

I must say after seeing Gillespie bowl almost all of his 20 overs, his figures may show one thing but i thought he bowled well early on, he beat the bat a lot & could have easily got a few wickets.

And still growing apparently, which is rather bizarre for a 20-year-old.

Chris Rogers 319 and Northants 628 against Gloucs. So many big scores this season, it's almost like a repeat of 1990 ...

I can't speak for other grounds, but they have pulled the boundaries in quite a bit at the Oval recently. Plus, most of the best English bowlers are either injured or on a central contract.

Amazing one day game between Glamorgan and Durham (on Sky). Glamorgan seemingly cruising to victory produce one of the best Seppuku style suicide efforts in recent times.

Brief Description of Glamorgan’s Harakiri

With the run rate below a run a ball, Mark Wallace attempts to reverse sweep, Gary Breese. Pathetically he fails twice, not to be down hearted, Wallace than attempts to run out his partner, James Franklin, who was single handily taking Glamorgan home. Franklin thanks to some awful fielding from Durham (who were either sublime or ridiculous all night) just about makes his ground (Wallace’s torment ended soon after).
Enter the captain, Robert Croft, with 5 needed of the last over and with Franklin still there (easy as you like, one would think). First four balls everything goes swimmingly, Glamorgan have the game tied. However things were about to go downhill rapidly.
Franklin hits the penultimate ball to one of the cover fielders, they set off for the single, everything seems fine, Croft should makes his ground but for reasons unknown, Croft fails to realise the ball is going to be thrown to his end, he turns round to have a butchers at the bowlers end (to see if Franklin is home), whilst this is all going on, the Durham fielder picks the ball up and pings it at Croft’s stumps. Croft fails to ground his bat and is subsequently run out (real elementary stuff and the Sky backroom boys are in hysterics).

But still with a single needed, Glamorgan should still do it. The new batsman Ryan Watkins gets served up a Mick Lewis Jo'Burg special, the game will be won, surely. However unfortunately for Watkins he could only manager to hit it Ricky Ponting's old chum, Gary Pratt, who takes a very sharp catch and Durham draw the game and celebrate like they have won it.

8-)
Awesome stuff...

Did not see Park tonight but the South African lad is not all that photogenic from this distance.

Unlike most ten year olds, he seems to have started puberty a wee bit early or in reality at 23 years old, a wee bit late.

Tell him to get a haircut Scaly and that his highlights need redoing.

This would be a first-class record by some distance if they pulled it off, IIRC the record chase is 510 in Sri Lanka somewhere...

Insane stuff here from Somerset. Chasing almost 600 runs to win yet scoring at 4.72 an over. Go Cam White

All over. Willoughby run out for a 16-minute duck (facing 1 ball) probably through coming back for the second or summat. White stranded on 260*...

Anyone see Crofts run out last night? what a fool! i hope he apologised to everyone in the dressing room as for all the hard work they put in he cost them a win (along with Wallaces complete brain freeze for those few shots near the end).
