Not suprised to see an Indian U/19 swearing and giving send offs at all. Probably calling him a white monkey, too...
I saw that, think it was Ishant Sharma, who the commentators were drooling over throughout the two days. He definitely shouted something at the batsman, was a bit fired up by something.

TBH the amount of whooping and celebrating from the Indians was a little excessive and self-indulgent; graceful in victory and all that. To beat that England side 3-0 was hardly a great achievment.

Broad with 4-13 in the twenty20 QF today, incredible season figures of 10 wickets@10.30 with an economy rate of 4.29 when he opens the bowling.

I would imagine there's going to be quite a stink from around the Bristol area, what with Lewis not being allowed to play, Surrey helping themselves to 224 for 5 and winning by 80.

Nice knock by Clarke though - 79* off 42 balls 8-)

Where was dalrymple born?

Well the first class campaign maybe nothing short of a disaster, but our twenty20 cup campaign is incredible, Beating Northants by 63 runs sends us into the final at trent bridge. I will be getting my tickets very soon

None of the Test squad played did they?

Makes sense seeing as the Test is only 2 days away (and shows consistency with the Loudon decision earlier in the Tournament)

Rikki likes Bristol. It's the only place anyone's ever called from the crowd for him to be brought on.

Who else might have been involved last night? Cook, Jones, Hoggard & Panesar. Fair enough, and I take your point about Loudon. Obviously I'm happy enough tro see my boys benefit, but I suppose the Glouc point will be that Lewis was unavailable when there was no intention to play him on Thursday. And he is a key man for them, probably more so than the others I listed earlier. But I see your logic.

However, you have to wonder if it's necessary to withdraw the players at all from what is such a big night for the counties, Four overs isn't going to knacker anyone.

According to Rob Key once Amjad Khan (3 overs for 39) gets the necessary qualification he will be on the brink of an England call up.
Now Key reckons that Stuart Broad is the best young bowler he's seen in county cricket. Maybe he's right. 8-)
Come the Pakistan odi's, he can't do any worse than the guys we saw against SL. And with Plunkett out for the season, we may even see him before then.

Surely if Sajid Mahmood and Kabir Ali can be on the edge of an England place, then there's hope for the "Man O'Cricket" Andy Caddick yet? Caddick>Mahmood/Ali/Plunkett/Bresnan

Good stuff from Tyron Henderson (5 for 28) and I must say I did get a good chuckle at Wes Durston’s dismissal, the archetypical Henderson slower delivery.

Gah, that was a load of poo. It was only Caddick's last little burst that got them over the 100 mark. Grrrrrrrr.

hmm, interesting game at trent bridge - Notts recovering from 107-5 to post 397 in the first innings then knocking Lancs over for 200, choosing not to enforce the follow on then getting skittled for 114, now Lancs 236-1 with 76 more to win. Not complaining, especially as Sussex are struggling, shame we keep dropping batting points though
