Ryan ten Doeschate (20/20 average- 31.00) >> Will Jefferson (20/20 average- 13.72). Also Ryan is far superior fielder.BoyBrumby said:Some strange selection decisions by Essex for me. No Andy Flower & no Jefferson. Either has to be a better bet than Ten Doeschate, surely? He didn't even bowl.
Really came up trumps today, hey?TT Boy said:Ryan ten Doeschate (20/20 average- 31.00) >> Will Jefferson (20/20 average- 13.72). Also Ryan is far superior fielder.
Wasn't that pretty much how bad he was doing for England as well though?BoyBrumby said:Dazzler not helping his cause much, there.

Not far off it. He's just got a progressively better bowler with each ODI he hasn't played. His performance today has reminded those of us with short memories (myself included) why he wasn't much lamented at the time tho.marc71178 said:Wasn't that pretty much how bad he was doing for England as well though?
And why is that a problem?BoyBrumby said:On plus side Broad looked like the prospect people have spoken of today, although he did bowl all of his overs at the start of Essex's innings.
Doesn't help us at the death, does it? TBF to Gough his first 3 overs went for 13, but it's bowling at the business end where seamers earn their corn for mine.marc71178 said:And why is that a problem?
The first 3 of his spell had the extreme restrictions (pretty much as he has had to deal with all tournament and prior to this game his economy was 4.29)

I said it was a bum call before ten Doeschate was at the crease! Flower was clearly the man who should've played, anyway.TT Boy said:![]()
