Bloody hell, Kadeer Ali hits his maiden century...

Mind Northants did make 628 on the same pitch while Gloucestershire have managed 350 and 532-3

You have something against the Ali family?

Cameron white having a good season with bat & ball in both First class & OD competitions, doing his chances for a close Australian ODI team return no harm.

well maybe not so well with ball in FC but in OD its 33.45, to go with an batting average of 41 which is a decent all-round performance to date.

Haha, the final nail is drilled into Somersets coffin as we lose to Derbyshire  Wonder if anyone remembers us?

I support three sides (Somerset, Mercedes Warriors and South Africa), all of whom are dropping like stones.. Not that Somerset had anywhere to fall from..

He's averaging 59 in the Championship, with five 100s from 12 matches. White and Willoughby have been Somerset's players of the season. Wood and Hildreth who were both being talked up as England possibles last year have both had a very poor season.

Well, this is Hildy's 2nd full season in the 1st team.....Bell had a great 1st season & the 2nd was crap, & look where he is now!

Somerset supporters, mainly. I think Hildreth has played for England U19 hasn't he?

Twenty20 finals day today - are we using this thread, or does it have its own designated one?

Darren Gough going to bat at 3 for Essex - the last of the pinch-hitters. He made a 50 there a week ago.

Hildreth had a lot more press than Wood, who always has been and always will be an FTB.

That's what happens when you grow up playing on a road all your life!

Hmm. Goughy absolutely taken to the cleaners in his last over; Nixon & Snape smacked him for 18. Andy Bichel then shows how it's done by bowling the last over of the innings for 8, including a wicket with his last ball.

Dazzler not helping his cause much, there.

Andy flower dropped for Cook
You jest surely?

Edit- Confirmed by the Sky boys, ridiculous decision. Flower is still is one of the finest one day players around. Cook better get a score or run out for nine.

There’s a bit of Glenn McGrath about Stuart Broad and I’m not just talking about his penchant for stupid highlights, looks like a real talent.
