What gotten into Derbyshire? 101 runs from 20 overs
Travis Birt has.

He had a huge Pura Cup season for Tasmania, and is by all accounts a big talent. One to watch this season for Derbyshire, I'd say.

Muchall is driving Durham towards a good total. We already have our first point on the board and if we can get to 300+ then we have a real shot at winning this match. Still if Kent's batting is as solid as Im expecting then the Draw is the most realistic result. Id be happy as I said with a Draw coupled with some bowling and batting points

I was suprised when reading all the pre-season media that Lancs were tipped to struggle. I have been saying for months that I think they could push for the title and they couldn't have wished for a better start against what I see as an overated Hampshire side who I have said many times will struglle for runs.

By the looks of things Maximum Bowling points are heading your way
As i have already said you obviously havnt kept track of Hampshires performances in the last couple of years, it was typical that they slumped to 139/7 yesterday but its just as typical that they have fought back and have Lancashire at 98/5

Lancs 135/5 still 59 behinds Hampshires total, was at the ground earlier seeing the first 4 batsmen going in similar fashion.

Heh Rikki 'improved' to 0-74 off 9. Also why do Surrey bother with Salisbury? Boycott's mum could do better with the ball than him.

Durham racked up maximum batting points finishing the day on 401-5. Muchall 193* off 268.

Was thinking about going down to the Oval today but thought better of it. Surrey’s attack currently has to be one of the worst I have ever seen and it does not look like getting any better with Akram breaking down.

now 6 down im really pleased that Bruce has got 3 wickets he was looking good at the end of last season and should keep his place when Tremlett returns with Logan dropping out. Looks like first inings scores are going to be pretty close unless Lancashire can put some sort of partnership together

Typical Lancs, get themselves in a good position and throw it away. Hampshire attack looks pretty light as well. A lot resting on Chapple in the morning.

Huzzah!! :clapping:

Shame he fell one short of a ton on debut, still a very good day for Derbyshire. I'll repeat that, A VERY GOOD DAY FOR DERBYSHIRE. Go on the Tassies'.

Might it have been that it wqas bowler-friendly conditions with all the rain around and that?

Why did Jonathan Trott bowl for Warwickshire against Sussex? He bowled well in New Zealand. Good to see that Streak is actually still pretty good.

Spearman a century in his first innings this season

Lance Klusner 118* for Northamptonshire

Andre Adams 3-57 for Essex

All this is very interesting to me.
