Maybe not romp it - but promoted easily - we have the Flower brothers (Grants coming over next year) Kaneria, Cowan (who can definately bowl, if that damn knee injury is sorted) Jefferson, Bopara who has talent may have learnt how to build an innings by next year, Irani, Napier is a very good player, Foster can definately play, etc.

As far as I am concerned, me made a huge mess of it this year (we should have easily been up this year, too) and I don't expect us to make the same mistake.

You'll be fighting it out for second though behind the mighty Lancashire
Somerset may be up there too.. signs that they've remembered how to play cricket.

Though a Matt "I've not actually done very well playing for Exmouth in the Devon League" Wood century doesn't suggest that Notts were trying.

A little bit. :p

If we hit our straps, we should romp Div 2 IMO - we are a blatant First Division side.
But seeing as you think Manure will win the league, your opinion is disregarded.

When was the last time a quality side got that many runs in the first innings and lost?

Seeing as it's a CC record, I'll safely suggest "never".

M Parsons 6 0 43 1 (2w)
Andrew 9 0 62 1

It's just abysmal... Im seriously thinking about commuting to Bristol to watch my cricket in future... It might be a hassle, but at the moment, the only decent cricketers are on the visiting team....

Have to say that it's a bit of a shame that the CC champions aren't going to be in the top division of the one day league next year...
