i am not a big one for bringing inyounger overseas players...the overseas players should be there to support the younger home grown talent
Any skilled player should be there to support any other player, young or old, overseas or home-grown, whatever.

yes but an experienced overseas player should add more to a team in the long run, your players like Akram,Warne,McGrath,Donald,Pollock,Dravid (the been there done that brigade) for me are always to have a more beneficial effect on the county game, than say Yuvraj at this stage in his career, or Afridi...these players (being young and still learning themselves) are quick fixes in my book....all they have done really is gain a bit more experience playing in English conditions (which really is detremental to English cricket ,coz Yuvraj in 10 years time will probably become an expect in English conditions and he will hammer England...maybe , maybe not, but you see what i mean)

Yep. Cos the likes of Akram and Warne would never resort to either taking drugs or having relationships with illegal bookies. A shining example to any young cricketer.

Due to international fixtures and money that wont happen in a while.
Even if the fixtures allowed it again (we live in hope) it's still totally unlikely.
Some counties may have gone to the wall by then, and hopefully the move back to 1 overseas-player may have been made (again, we live in hope).

Well, Waqar doesn't appear to be coming to Warwickshire, but the news that Streak is likely to (for part of the season at least) is great IMO.

According to the Sunday Mercury Warwick are going to sign Heath Steak until August and Pertouris(SP) for the last 6 weeks of the Season

The Signing of Steak is a Very good one and it what Warwickshire need to go with Brown, Richardson and Carter

Well SL tour Zimbabwe in April and May and Australia are there in May and June.

Seeing as he's the captain and their only real genuine top class player now, I would imagine he's a fair bet to be selected for those 2 series.

And hope when you get there he bowls better than he did for most of the Test-series last summer.
Hope he bowls a bit more like he bowled for Durham, especially in the one-dayers.

They'd do better to replace the lot of them.
All useless. Should never have let Giddins leave. And then they tried to replace him with Betts, what a roaring success that was.
