Given the standard of the bowling at batting at nets on Saturday mornings, I think I might..

Surrey or Yorkshire to win everything - this way I enjoy being wrong.

Can't argue with Lincolnshire to take the MC title, however.

Have Lincolnshire signed any more players?

Not that I'm aware of. I know Pollard has retired from cricket, but I think the same core that won it in 2003 is still there.

Thats ok because there are some good under 18s which got promotion last year in the under 17 County Championship

AFAIK, the divisions remain the same as the teams played in the previous season - it would be utterly pointless otherwise.

Hopefully if they signed him he'd do better than last season!
That's a bit harsh, now I don't think Waqar is anywhere as good as he was but last season was hardly that bad.

He only joined Warwicks mid-way through the season when Bond dropped out, and in 8 matches he took 39 Wickets @ 23.51 (Econ 3.75) First Class AND 20 Wickets @ 20.20 One Day.

That's still pretty handy and above all he was Warwicks best bowler of the entire team (and by a long way - In Both Forms!) and he was only there for like a month and a half.

Couldn't agree more - we need someone experienced in there, and he was a success last year, so I for one would be happy to see him back at the club.

Less enamoured by the Greatest Living Australian as the 2nd O/S player though.

Add that to his summer average...and they honestly think he's better off bowling negatively?

His wicket-taking was fine, but he totally lost his accuracy.
It's never been his foremost brilliance, but always when he's bowled his best he's been accurate and penetrative.

Maybe not from your team's POV but from the POV of Waqar's record, it's a shame he wasted an opportunity to improve his record and instead denegrated it.

dont know whether Waqar is a backwrds step...with his experience that he can pass onto younger fast bowlers...he performed well last year, and is a legendary player, and would definatly draw the crowds in (especially younger Asians) which can only be a good thing

Younis would be a step backwards for Warwick. they should sign a younger bowler or promote Warren, Mees or Wagg
Just like your county are doing by signing Bichel you mean? :P

Chris just doesn't like Warwicks. He will never say anything good about them. It takes Local Rivalry to a new level!

If your talking about younger players, before Waricks signed Waqar they tried out Wayne Clarke's son, Michael??? Well the Aussie seamer anyway. He wasn't much of a success.
