I think that the Twenty20 cup is Brillant. It has been a Success and Shows the ECB were right in inventing this Competition. there are are around 7 sides who can win it IMO (Worcester,Warwick,Surrey,Kent,Glouester,Lancashire,Yorkshire) so it a wide competition for compete in.

The Aussies should have it next year so they can practise ahead of the first ever Twenty20 International match next year

Hopefully there will be a world cup of this sort in a Few Years

Do you think it will outlast the 50 overs game? i think it will

Twenty20 is entertaining to watch and brings in much needed income to the counties but i pray to god it never becomes a main international game in place of one dayers. Cricket is meant to be watched all day while relaxing :)

Also Worcestershire dont have a prayer to win the 20/20 unfortunatly we showed last year we just dont have the mentality for it. People like Hick and Bichel will help this year who were sorely missed last but they wont fire all the time.

Anyone notice Essex's sparkling performance with the ball last night?

Goodbye Hampshire, and don't come back.

Hampshire is surely having a v bad twenty20 season
Clarke and Watson both not scoring runs
clarke's really in a disappointing form
not good for australia's
hopes for
world cup 2007

Surrey vs Hampshire
at one point surrey were 31/3
and still able to acheive a defendable total of 198
and now hampshire were 30/1 then 30/3 and now 4/36 :-O
watson again out for a golden duck , out first ball
He's flashy but he isn't as good as he's made out to be in my opinion.
and as i write its now 130/7
Hampshire batting letting them down - again :@

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high Mr. Kent - as long as your big 2 go early, you'll block your way to 80-2 off the 20, most likely.

Oh for Pete's sake (excuse the pun), it is not even three years away, and you base a couple of county matches that is not good for Australia in 2007? County form does not have much correlation towards Australia's efforts in ODIs.

As good as Watson and Clarke are, if Australia's chances depend solely on those two, I would be mightly concerned.

Oi Roch, see the score today?
*Of course I saw the flaming score*

I was there! Boy Thomas batted well, it was a good match.. Wasnt helped by some shoddy fielding from Somerset though, and the old duffer I had to sit next to moaning about the way cricket is heading...
On a side note, I think Simon Francis hit the second biggest six (off Croft) I have ever seen, live or televised.. It nearly had the distance to end up going through my bedroom window (I think it cleared the river by some yards), just the wrong angle...

Well, why does he have to be in?!

1 knock? (!)
well he's only played 2 20/20 games due to missing the entire 20/20 comp last year with a broken hand. So i agree its too early to say (also the selectors will use the 20/20 just like a one day international, maybe blood a few youngsters that they wouldnt try in the one day team. No chance of picking someone as old and whos had their chance at international level like Hick has.

But he has made 73 (52 balls) and 116 (65 balls) in his 2 innings so far in 20/20.

What would the team be for the International against Australia in the twenty20 format

Hick has to be in
Despite the fact that his age will be as long as the duration of the match?
