The World Cup? Two and a half years ago? In a different format of the game? Since when the man has become a shadow of the bowler he used to be?

Don't judge your opinion of Anderson on what you saw in the World Cup. He's not the same bowler now. He's more line and length, less wicket-ball/four-ball. He gets less swing, but a little more movement off the pitch. He's more accurate, but has probably lost an mph or two in pace. At least, that's all true from what I saw last season.
Thanks for the update Barney.

Shame if that's the case. His strength was that he bowled outswingers at good pace. If delivered consistently (and, to be fair, that was his problem), that'll get you wickets.

Somebody should get into his ear by the sounds of it.

No. Raza's out. But he did better than I thought he would - scored 20. That's 20 times better than his total from the first match.
He's comming on leaps and bounds. If the trend continues, he could be looking to score 400+ in his next outing.

Flintoff couldnt be right physically if theyre replacing him with Plunkett at this stage of the day.

Jones, Giles, Vaughan, Hoggard and, potentially, Flintoff are now injured. Wonder if Geraint can bowl?

With an average of bang on 51 after 120 games he can't be too bad

That was an interesting day. The contest seems to be quite even at this point. England Tests never seem to be decided early anymore.

Not a hope.

Read this. Against the traditionally stronger attacks of India, Australia, South Africa, England and Sri Lanka, he averages 32.61 in 37 Tests. I don't see how one streaky half-century changes that.

Harmy deserved that - has been by far the best bowler today.
From what I saw, he's bowled much worse and taken plenty. Good to see (or read about) him getting a late breakthrough - could prove key. See how Inzy's arm bears up and you never know, couple of quick strikes tomorrow morning and we might have first innings parity.

Or a 100-run deficit if we don't.

After Inzi's injury, I don't think Pakistan can build a large lead like that. They should be hoping for first innings parity.

It really depends on the extent of Inzy's injury. They didn't take him to the hospital for an X-Ray scan, which is either extremely foolish or means that the injury isn't really serious.

Waqar commented that he has plenty of meat on his arms so should be okay hopefully. All depens on Inzy and ofcourse MoYo tomorrow. The rest can maybe rustle up 50 to 60 runs between them if Kamran fires. If we achieve innings parity +/- 20-30 here I will be happy.
