Can't be sure of that. I waited until after finishing playing (I batted a while longer and then had a bowl) and then after dinner to get my face checked out after being struck by a beamer. It turned out to be broken in two places.Beleg said:Yeah, the commentators were saying that Inzamam was not taken to the hospital during the game.
It seems to me that they waited for the game to finish before they went for medical attention, which itself indicates (at least to me) that the injury isn't very serious.
Well, fair play to you or playing on with the injury, but they are a little more precautious with injuries at international level - I'm assuming you play at club level?ClownSymonds said:Can't be sure of that. Nothing to discuss. Stating the obvious, pakster said:Inzamam and Yusuf > Any English batsmen.

Flintoff's probably just knackered. He's been bowling unchanged since about 1847.social said:Flintoff couldnt be right physically if theyre replacing him with Plunkett at this stage of the day.
Jones, Giles, Vaughan, Hoggard and, potentially, Flintoff are now injured. Wonder if Geraint can bowl?
He was limping a little on the way back to his run I believe. Twinged knee perhaps?Barney Rubble said:Flintoff's probably just knackered. He's been bowling unchanged since about 1847.
What happened to Hoggard? Didn't hear about that.
Well, as long as he can hold out for the rest of this Test and is OK for India I don't mind - all he'll miss out on is walking his beloved dogs.PY said:He was limping a little on the way back to his run I believe. Twinged knee perhaps?

Don't worry about Hoggy he will be alrite. On Freddie, his build is deliberately for this kind of work. They will both be alrite in the morning. And the main man Harmison is starting to scent blood. The last time i saw him this menacing was on the first morning of the Lord's test, just abit of luck and Pakistan would definitely have felt his full force.[The most in form cricketer in the world ATM certainly felt him].Mo-Yo said it was the best spell of bowling he has ever faced [and that is saying something on these pitches]. All I can say is LET EM HAVE IT HARMY, SHOIAB DOESN'T HOLD BACK AGAINST US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Barney Rubble said:Well, as long as he can hold out for the rest of this Test and is OK for India I don't mind - all he'll miss out on is walking his beloved dogs.
And might I add, there's a man you can respect - limp back to his mark, then run in, bowl at over 80mph and give it everything for his team. Hoggy is a legend.
actually, i have pretty much the opposite opinion to Barney. After he burst onto the scene, Troy Cooley decided he didn't like his action and tried to remodel it. Not only did he lose his outswing, his control also got worse. At the start of this season Anderson decided to go back to his old action and impoved throughout the year as a result. From what i've seen and heard from others who get to the FC games more ofter Anderson has rediscovered his outswing this yearsocial said:Thanks for the update Barney.
Shame if that's the case. His strength was that he bowled outswingers at good pace. If delivered consistently (and, to be fair, that was his problem), that'll get you wickets.
Somebody should get into his ear by the sounds of it.

I am sorry but it is not that obvious. These players have been doing too well over the past two years against any attack they face to start saying that because of one series, they are all of a sudden not good enough to outbat two players. So you are saying that The English lineup is better than the Aussie batting becasue we outscored them in the summer.
You probably know the situation better than me. All I know is when I did see him this year, he bowled more accurately than I'd seen him before, but with less movement. I had no idea his action had been partially remodelled. But if he's still using his old action, that doesn't mean that anything's necessarily changed about him that makes him now good enough to play for England, where he had been deemed not good enough in the past, so where does that leave his England chances? Unless he's simply learned better control over the past year or so, he'll still be the same bowler, bowling four-balls every other over and taking the odd wicket here and there. And if what I saw is anything to go on, he doesn't swing it all the time, either. So it does look like he'd have been a bit of a gamble.superkingdave said:actually, i have pretty much the opposite opinion to Barney. I've never seen your style of posting before.InsideSledge said:Good stuff.
England don't get lucky again and might just have to get him out legitimately for once.
