But I do wish Owais Shah was fit & in the squad.

I really don't know much about prior, tbh. Fletcher's always erred on the side of when in doubt, back your judgement and give the guys you've picked a decent chance to do what they're capable of. Presumably there isn't another game before Sunday, so I'd go along with that too.marc71178 said:Or Joyce or Key?
I wonder if playing Prior as a specialist bat might be a better option?
Too true.wpdavid said:Definitely. Plus a nice piece of revenge IIRC - didn't Uruguay beat you in the playoffs a few years ago?

Joyce is just what England need, a middle order batsman in the mould of Thorpey. Being a Middlesex fan I have seen him on many an occasion and believe he could really be the glue that holds Englands rather fragile middle order together, also, is Flintoff really a test match number 6?marc71178 said:Or Joyce or Key?

Yes when he gets going one of the most dangerous but also at times one of the more foolish as we saw today.open365 said:no.
we play him there because we have no where else to put one of the most dengerous batsmen in the world.
I guess that's something we'll have to live with.UncleTheOne said:Yes when he gets going one of the most dangerous but also at times one of the more foolish as we saw today.

That just about equals "Tendulkar > Bradman" as the funniest comment I've seen on here.
