Hopefully he'l (Collingwood) be dropped regardless of Vaughan coming back.
A bit harsh, and I doubt whether it would happen.

But I do wish Owais Shah was fit & in the squad.

Or Joyce or Key?

I wonder if playing Prior as a specialist bat might be a better option?
I really don't know much about prior, tbh. Fletcher's always erred on the side of when in doubt, back your judgement and give the guys you've picked a decent chance to do what they're capable of. Presumably there isn't another game before Sunday, so I'd go along with that too.

As for others, fair comment.

What a game! Fortunes swinging both ways, close till the end. This is why I love cricket! Great job Pakistan. Can't wait till the next game.

Why do cricinfo always have rubbish headlines?

I don't call a tight 22 run defeat being destroyed!

They consistantly display all the sensationalism of a pot of jam..

well i left for school this morning expecting a tense final session and it happened, i really felt England would have got to this target but i must commend the Pakistani's on their top class bowling performance on the final day, with everyone bowling very well. Now it all sets up a top series where someone will win 2-1.

Also looking at how wably looked againts Kaneria's leg-spin, they may well n play Afridi, & for England defiantely once Vaughan is fit he will replace Collingwood. My predicted teams:

England

Trescothick
Strauss
Vaughan
Bell
Pietersen
Flintoff
Jones
Giles
Udal
Hoggard
Harmison

Pakistan

Malik
Butt
Younis
Inzi
Mohammad Yo
Kamal
Afridi
Akmal
Shoaib
Shabbir
Kaneria

Sami bowled very well but i still think he should be dropped, but i have a feeling he may well n be retained somewhere...

Joyce is just what England need, a middle order batsman in the mould of Thorpey. Being a Middlesex fan I have seen him on many an occasion and believe he could really be the glue that holds Englands rather fragile middle order together, also, is Flintoff really a test match number 6?

Hasan Raza might be playing again for some reason- well according to Inzaman.
He should be dropped.

no.

we play him there because we have no where else to put one of the most dengerous batsmen in the world.Just ask shaun Pollock what he thinks of Flintoff's batting.

Yes when he gets going one of the most dangerous but also at times one of the more foolish as we saw today.

That Shoaib - Giles yorker was one of the best I've seen, absolutely amazing! And Kaneria's googly was a beaut too.

From an England point of view, I think this is the wake-up we need. I'm hopeful of a 2-1 victory, but far from certain.

I think Collingwood has to go, whether Vaughan's back or not (and I pray he is, and I'm not even Christian) and if he's not back, I don't know, maybe Cook, maybe not.

Bell played a naff shot too, and having done the hard work gave it away badly. Infact a lot of players played naff shots (though Akhtar and Kaneria were quite brilliant).
