Right now I'm too busy drooling over that cover drive to care!Beleg said:really, the captaincy here is pretty horrendous. Not having a cover-point for Geriant Jones at this stage of the game and having only one slip and gully for Shabbir, easily the bowler who has moved it the most?
What could be the most appropriate excuse, then?Racism is the worst and weakest excuse for anything.
But in ODI terms, Gayle's a much better all rounder.dontcloseyoureyes said:Whereas they are seperate games essentially, they are both cricket matches and to me, Trescothick is a much better batsman than Gayle.
Shakoor Rana's dead.Shoaib said:England r quite near reaching 400.They really played well & also Trescothick shouldn't forget to thank Billy Bowden for great display of racism in the match. He is one of the worst umpires i've ever seen.I think the local umpires should supervise matches rather than the neutral ones. And for matches in Pakistan, they should be Shakeel Khan & Shakoor Rana.I'm sure they aren't as unfair as Billy Bowden is.
He's Norwegian?Barney Rubble said:2. Flintoff looked edgy the whole time he was in, and played a carp shot to get out.
I want to be able to bowl as badly as he has and still have figures of 21-7-46-3...Beleg said:I want to have Shabbir Ahmad's babies.
The first part is well within your capabilities from what I've seenNeil Pickup said:I want to be able to bowl as badly as he has and still have figures of 21-7-46-3...
Wasn't this place similar to the M25 when Pakistan batted?luckyeddie said:I've not seen so much movement off the seam outside Headingley for quite some time.
And for the most part when England did. I've only been watching the last half hour so can't really comment on what's gone on earlier today, but it seems to be darting about now. Could be the ball, of course.Samuel_Vimes said:Wasn't this place similar to the M25 when Pakistan batted?
Bad in the sense that for a lot of yesterday he wasted delivery after delivery outside off stump and was completely unthreatening. He's been much improved with the new ball today.Beleg said:Shabbir's bowling = bad?
Bad in the sense that he could have gotten the whole English team out If he had pitched it correctly. But certainly not bad in the context of the match, and to be able to extract this ammount of seam movement...
Pakistani bowler's haven't done badly. 400 is about the expected score on this sort of a wicket, and if you look at the english batting, no one except for Trescothick and Ian Bell really got going - Pieterson, Strauss and Collingwood straight out failed.
Its our *shock, horror, de javu* batting that has let us down, again.
