Which was the Flintoff one? I recall two LBW shouts to him - one that was going a decent way down leg side and another that hit him outside the line of off.
I was going to ask... 8-)

Is it wrong to eat four sausuages and two bacon and egg muffins at 7.30am?
Not wrong , but potentially fatal if it becomes habitual   (Please check your Blood Cholesterol ) !!

England r quite near reaching 400.They really played well & also Trescothick shouldn't forget to thank Billy Bowden for great display of racism in the match. He is one of the worst umpires i've ever seen.I think the local umpires should supervise matches rather than the neutral ones. And for matches in Pakistan, they should be Shakeel Khan & Shakoor Rana.I'm sure they aren't as unfair as Billy Bowden is.

I suggest you shut up unless you wish to get banned.

Off-spinner (Malik, I ,think)

Hit him middle and off, going on to hit middle. Playing a sweep at the time. Looked plumb with the naked eye and worse with the aid of technology.

Umpiring has been really, reall bad.

Once again hats off to Tresco, he's clearly a bit knackered as a couple of his shots this morning show, but this mammoth innings shows he's really capable of stepping up when his team needs it, as a captain and as a batsman. Let's hope it carries on for the rest of today, from an English point of view.

From what TMS were saying, I gleaned a few things about the morning's play:

1. Kaneria started well but then bowled numerous pies.

2. Flintoff looked edgy the whole time he was in, and played a carp shot to get out.

3. Tresco hasn't looked in any trouble apart from the dropped catch.

4. The dropped catch was horrendous.

5. Inzy's captaincy's been poor.

Can anyone who's been watching on TV confirm?

1. True. His first over was probably the best he has bowled in the entire match.
2. He started off rather solid, I'd say. Did get flustered latter on.
3. Yes, though the dropped catch was a miss-timed heave, and the ball before that had also ballooned off to no-man's land.
4. Very.
5. Yes.

Can we stop dragging unrelated issues into this?

I have no problem with you blaming poor performance on the umpires. See the Ashes thread for excellent examples from the Australians, or India in Australia for excellent examples from the Indians. But saying "ooh, he gave us out because we're black" is pathetic.

Trescothick goes, caught behind off Shabbir. Walks off to the pavilion, still in shock at the ball not being three feet outside off stump.

Pakistan should be hopeful of keeping the lead below 150 now.

Excellent inning by Trescothick.

If Pakistan can get rid of the remaining players within 400 than they have a *glimmer* of hope.

Not happening though, I know it in my bones.

1. Kaneria is overrated. Good batting + slow pitch + inconsistent bowling + couple of horrible decisions have produced appropriate figures.

2. Somewhat true. He's a very good striker of the ball but not a great batsman. Today was somewhat typical in that he never looked settled, played a few big shots, but at least he's learning how to score runs whilst not playing well.

3. Played beautifully. Had a bit of luck with lbws and dropped catch but most big innings require same. Easily the best I've seen him play.

4. Horrible.

5. Uninspiring is closer to the truth.

Ok,I'll now abstain from bringing the racism issue into the forums.
