Shabbir actually has a first class fifty, a list A 42 and a test 24*. He averaged over 10 in tests before this match. Granted he looked pretty god damn awful, but tailenders can be in bad form too.

In the (admittedly short) bits of each I've seen, Martin just edges it - he at least got close to the ball a few times, even hitting a couple. Shabbir, well, didn't get within 3 inches of any of the five balls he faced.

I'm far more interested in Shabbir's bowling arm, and I sense the ICC is too. He was one of the most blatant chuckers I've ever seen when he was in the West Indies earlier this year. Let's see what that remedial work has done.
